Hi all, I'm new to these forums, but I'm one of the original guys from www.neo-geo.com from back in the day and the author of the Master List on that site.
I'm a hobbyist and not an arcade op. I realize I'm fortunate to have an Exa of my own, and that people like me aren't really the target audience for the system.
Just wanted to post here to say how much I am enjoying the system. The games certainly feel like the ultimate curated version of long beloved titles.
I have a number of games including the recently released Breakers Revenge. Working now to get the new 2player Vewlix control panel installed and the newest Exa JVS IO for low latency. Will report here with my results once everything is installed, very excited to have some 2p action on my cab.
For those interested in trying the system, I had mine on display at Freeplay Florida in Lakeland last November and plan on bringing it again this year.
Power to the Exa

I guess I would have a 20 year badge by now on the Neo forums.
You should come down to IAAPA Orlando and check out our booth which will have plenty of new products. We can also do updates there.
Wow ng.com was a while ago, surprised to see the forum still up, tried to log in but im still banned (funnily enough for NOT **** enough, go figure)... is it still a toxic cesspool?

They went all woke after finally releasing their repressed love for eachother. Twonk is now Tink, and checks up on problems with phonecalls to support emotional well-being.

I'll definitely stop by this year with whatever gear/games I have that need updating. that's a lot more convenient than sending it off. Would love to meet the Exa team and check out the games on display as well.
Assuming it's the same weekend as Freeplay, Lakeland is only about 30 minutes from Orlando. My Tampa Arcade Club group (TAC) has our own section of the show floor with around 15-20 candy cabs running a lot of great Japanese stuff. You should consider stopping by as well Last year we had an MVS hooked up to a 2x2 giant wall panel display, must have been around a 150" screen size equivalent. Playing Neo Turf Masters on a wall like that was really something.

I've been there since the beginning and was one of the founding guys. I've always basically been there for the Neogeo and have tried to avoid drama although I've certainly gotten caught up in it. I think I have only around 1100 posts over the past 24 years (yikes). These days actual talk about Neogeo is pretty rare so I'm not super active on it anymore. For people who really just want a community to talk or trade/sell Neo stuff, it's not the first choice anymore like it used to be in its heyday.
Yeah, i remember i got banned around a discussion about a factory box of mvs windjammers i came across a few years back.. was surprised to learn the ng community had zero interest in such an item and eventually banned me for trying to discuss it luckily there are other communities (like thisone) where people still appreciate such things.
One forum i really do miss is assemblergames, if youre into rare and odd stuff it was a real treat.

IAAPA is the same week. We have another exhibition a few days before in Japan so it’s going to be an exhausting 2 weeks of booth setup/operations/teardown then back to Japan.
You can DM me to arrange a time and pass to get into the show.
Got the new 2p Vewlix panel with the new I/O installed. I didn’t have a problem with lag before but I trust it’s as good as it can get now. It’s awesome to have 2p capability on the Vewlix!! The new panel is made out of metal, very high quality, looks OEM. Running Batsugun, SDOJ, Crimson Katana and Breakers Revenge at the moment. This is where I hang out after the kids are in bed these days

Super cool, I wish there were more resources online about this game. What I've seen looks really good.
In terms of upcoming titles I'm most excited to see Fixeight and Air Gallet. Of the released games, I'd like to at least try one of the 2 touhou games.

It does display All Clear on a TLB clear iirc or are you saying you want it to just display All on a normal boss finish?

Here’s a normal clear of Shinorubi Pink Label.
As Brian or others who have played it can attest to, it’s quite different from the original game. I personally spent a lot of time on its development transforming it into an arcade game.
The first Touhou title just received what will be the final update.

We will continue to provide significant updates for the system and games at no cost. Touhou 1 … will see new game modes and QoL improvements in updates this summer.

as far as playing goes, it's a different experience than the steam port, it's not just tate but so many balances such as it has four buttons (the fever is now manually triggered), it's zoomed out so it's not "IN YOUR FACE!!!!!", the stages have all been reworked so the pacing is better, a lot of euro garbage have been taken out, extra stage, extra character (which is actually good). oh ya and no TLB in normal
Shinorubi is a weird one,it had great potential and sure exa would do a good job.unfortunately for me the ost makes my ears bleed,so it’s not a title I’m ever gonna pick up!I think the final version for steam/console did a great job in character design with shot type to make the vertazontal play field feel less open.it kinda worked,it’s not terrible, but there are a lot better vertazontal shmup ,like giga wing etc
