If money is no object, you want this:

https://birdlandarcade.com/products/td-io

Fully JVS' compatible for exA.

As for getting video into a CRT, for a 31khz screen you need a HDMI to VGA DAC. Someone has tested a crap load of them for color accuracy, results are here:

https://tinyurl.com/dactestresults

For a 15khz screen you need a downscaler. I think your best option for that today is an OSSC Pro.

Thanks Nem, I need to make more of a habit of checking AO more often. Lots of good stuff here.

I was looking at this bundle: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads ... ost-434640, but have concerns about updates / potential proxy related issues... Is the only way to know for sure to contact exA?

Clearly, my vote is to check with Exa first, but even then, what if they just say no later? Then what?

You can email support to confirm.
In general, 2nd hand products are supported.
There is no arbitrary sudden lack of support as someone is trying to claim.

Dude, I emailed support after buying a second hand system. Support said they would not help and then ghosted me WITHOUT any explanation. I contacted you here and you accused me of being a proxy buyer and the seller of being a criminal. Finally, rather than help or clear up what was going on, generally acted rudely. I sent you a PM to clear things up and you ignored it.

Are you really running a business or just being a dick to a guy who wanted to be a customer?

Also, "in general" doesn't mean ANYTHING when you don't explain why or how you block things.

A company ran by ex-community romhacker fanboys has poor customer service? Who knew! I'm still amazed anyone buys these overpriced licensed homebrew boards. It will be curious to see what becomes of these things in another 5-7 years.

Breakers Revenge Chicago has just been released, with new, more aggressive play modes, an extensive training mode, new artworks, new music, a new announcer and only 0.3 frame of input lag.

Panel looks nice & good to see support for non Vewlix style cabs I wonder how much it will cost just loose.

I guess all those rotate mech fan boys will have something to celebrate once again.

It should go to location test by the end of summer. Having seen the latest build yesterday, this will be the shooter spectacle of the year. The scale of the game is absolutely massive.

Within the next month or so - the updates are currently in development and should go to test this month.

A blanc (white Noir) doesn’t have an I/O board so it doesn’t make sense to only sell a panel for it. Also, you’ll need the complete wiring harness for anything to work. For the regular Noirs, a control panel would work minus the game menu button.

To be clear, there isn’t a turning rotate mech like the Egret 2. The ARC-32 has a smart design with rotating in mind so it takes less than a minute to rotate. Our staff can rotate it in under 30 seconds not counting screwing pieces back into place.

That Noir upgrade kit would also fit the Lindbergh too as the wiring connector panel is the same.

I've always felt that both cabs were made by the same contractor as very similar in design & operation but Noir edges it.

I see on your website you sell the cp & just the wiring, I don't use the Namco I/O in my Noir but have kept everything oem so can be changed back in minutes.

Game menu button would be nice to exit games back to a retro frontend, I currently have this set on 1p & credit button together.

The Noir/blanc/Lindberghs were made in the same factory. Perhaps one day, we can tell that story. Are you just wanting the metal panel?

Hi all, I'm new to these forums, but I'm one of the original guys from www.neo-geo.com from back in the day and the author of the Master List on that site.
I'm a hobbyist and not an arcade op. I realize I'm fortunate to have an Exa of my own, and that people like me aren't really the target audience for the system.
Just wanted to post here to say how much I am enjoying the system. The games certainly feel like the ultimate curated version of long beloved titles.
I have a number of games including the recently released Breakers Revenge. Working now to get the new 2player Vewlix control panel installed and the newest Exa JVS IO for low latency. Will report here with my results once everything is installed, very excited to have some 2p action on my cab.

For those interested in trying the system, I had mine on display at Freeplay Florida in Lakeland last November and plan on bringing it again this year. :)
Power to the Exa
John (geddonjt)
