Let me know when it arrives.
I contacted him, it's been two weeks of silence from his side. He wanted me to reimburse him the shipping costs (for the return shipment) as well, plus he told me that the board was worth more and I told him that he would get back what he paid for it. I therefore ruled out an oversight from Paypal because of his silence and suspected more likely that he did this on purpose.geotrig wrote: February 22nd, 2019, 3:25 pm Have you contacted him ,from the description above it sounds like it may be more a paypal mistake that the full amount was refunded rather than partial? just to note I'im not sure how they would have determined the exact amount to refund unless it was agreed upon btween buyer /seller
yes I have, without successSuperPang wrote: February 22nd, 2019, 2:48 pm I assume you have explained to Paypal that only one of the items was faulty and they shouldn't have refunded the full amount?

Negative feedback left for supabok from Vinsanity
Sold me a faulty board. Didn’t care, didn’t make it right.
Hey guys,02/23/2019, 3:29 pm
Negative Feedback left for Vinsanity from supabok
Sold him a DDP board that apparently had a faulty 2p control problem - offered to fix.
Didn't hear back from him for over a year after which, he messages me to demand $80 to cover the fix. I had knocked $70 off the original asking price to be nice. Petty.

I’m not doubting the feedback you left but calling him a liar about these points is going to agitate.Vinsanity wrote:”I had knocked $70 off the original asking price to be nice”
Dude. Thanks? And it was $20 off.
Thank you for the replies.pubjoe wrote: February 26th, 2019, 10:34 amVinsanity wrote:He then tells me that he didn’t really test the PCBI’m not doubting the feedback you left but calling him a liar about these points is going to agitate.Vinsanity wrote:”I had knocked $70 off the original asking price to be nice”

Tell me if I’m wrong but your initial PM was an offer $50 below asking price, he then added postage and discounted a further $20?
“He didn’t really test” is a stretch too. He didn’t thoroughly test.
I agree that he should have replied to your messages but you both dragged your feet over the last year and four months. Calling him a liar just gives him justification for retaliatory feedback.
I agree. I get busy, and this is a hobby. Plus, I trusted the guy to do the right thing. I fully expected him to be glad of the news.SuperPang wrote: February 26th, 2019, 11:50 am I've sent supabok a PM asking for a response.
You've not helped yourself by taking two months to test it then over a year to get it repaired.
This.
Exactly this point. Back in 2017 when he noticed there was an issue with the player 2 movement I offered to find someone that could fix it. I couldn't find anyone early on and then things got busy on my end with life stuff. At which point I didn't hear back from the buyer at all, thinking it wasn't a big deal or he had it fixed.yosai wrote: February 26th, 2019, 2:08 pmThis!!
But I can also understand the delay. I have PCBs here that I've bought months ago still in their packing boxes. Not a good idea, especially if they're damaged or missing.![]()
I guess I don't understand your fixation on this "$70 discount". Let me address that. Thank you for the initial discount. Seriously, thank you. But that was price for a working board that we agreed on. And I would not have bought the board in the first place unless it was fully working, $70 discount or not. A nonworking board or a board with repairs would demand a much steeper discount; we both know this. If I were a different man, I should have probably asked for a refund back in 2017, but I worked with you since you seemed like a nice guy at the time.supabok wrote: February 26th, 2019, 4:02 pmExactly this point. A year and a few months later he messaged me saying he had gotten it fixed.
What bothered me was the way in which he went about asking for money for the repair. Basically stating that he got it fixed and here's my paypal, you can pay me $80 here. I don't have a problem paying for the repair but it was the way in which he went about it + > year to respond + $70 discount off the board.
When you purchase something from Best Buy they're not going to refund you money after a year of using a product. Get real!
I've dealt with enough people on this forum and over at shmups that people know I'm pretty easy to get along with and willing to drop prices on my initial asking prices.
One last point I'd like to make, is that I was unaware there was a problem with the 2player left control. My cab only has a single player control panel so was unable to verify the 2 player control. If I had known there was an issue, I never would have sold the board in the first place until it was fixed.
With money?Vinsanity wrote: February 26th, 2019, 5:47 pm I really don't care about the money. I just want you to make this right.
Then I suggest both parties retract their respective feedback. Neither of you seems unreasonable in this whole affair, things just got a little heated. I don't think anyone's feedback scores have to suffer because of it. Vince, I don't think it's realistic to expect money after more than a year of letting things sit without any form of communication. Erick, I don't think your reaction was warranted for a matter you have previously been able to agree on. If money is not an issue that should resolve the matter. Shake hands on it boys.Vinsanity wrote: February 26th, 2019, 5:47 pmIf you haven't already noticed, my complaint is not about the money. I really don't care about the money. No, man. I'm asking for an apology, and a retraction of his dishonest feedback. And maybe along the way, a little self reflection that he may not have handled this perfectly. That's the hope at least.
Thank you.mufunyo wrote: February 27th, 2019, 12:59 pmThen I suggest both parties retract their respective feedback.
