The dispute resolution thread

Post by SuperPang »

Occasionally, minor trading disputes arise that are brought to the forum teams attention. We're not talking about outright scams here, just incomplete items, items not as described, misleading seller practices, poor communication etc.

In the interests of transparency, we are opening this thread should anyone wish for the forums opinion or advice when a dispute arises.

Strict rules will have to be in place however;

No deviating off topic or random chit chat.
No abusive language or ranting. Make your case and stick to the facts.
Trades must have been conducted on this forum.

Moderators will tidy the thread when necessary.

Thanks

STAY AWAY FROM MYUNIVERSALLOVE....I tell you my story...

Post by ginodifagna »

In order to advise and protect you from the biggest lier I ever meet in my life, I would like to tell you my story with forum user MYUNIVERSALLOVE or MELVIN on SEGANAOMI forum, his full name MELVIN BROUWER from Holland

If any one wants to read my PM, I have no problem to give my accont password to enter and read what he wrote me from 11 July 2010
I ask SUPERPANG to be kind and check my PM to tell everybody if I am writing the true.

I know for sure I am not the first one to have been Fuc..ed from him, I don't like to write the names but would be nice if they will go out and write something here.THis story about him have to be stopped!!!!

HERE IS THE STORY....I Think to have been more then patience before write this thread!!!!

I have been contacted from him the 11 July because he was searching for some Model 1/2/3 pcd and speares parts...
I tell him ok, I had many model 1/2/3 parts, so we agreed that I ship to him 25 kg of good sega model spare parts (1xsega rally2 full wiring with all boards + 1x sega rally 2 motherboard + 1x virtua striker 2 98 full motherboard with wiring ) + my ID card reader to be repaired and my yellow lindbergh with vt3 game inside to be repaired too with power supplier.

From him side he agreed to repair my lindbergh with a new video card and CPU and ID card reader, pay the shipping cost for the goods I sent and shipping cost to send me back the two repaired parts + some extra games like virtua tennis 3 gd rom + hotd3 gd rom

So I shipped all the above parts 30 June on a pallet with other parts sold to MYUNIVERSALLOVE from MAR.VETTO becuase we live in the same city and we are good friend and collect arcade parts together.
(MAR.VETTO has been paied form MYUNIVERSALLOVE for his parts, he confermed this to me, that's why I trusted on MYUNIVERSALLOVE)

Then the 15 September MYUNIVERSALLOVE contacted me again because of a TAITO games I had, TOP LANING TAITO in metal cage to be tested and another VS2 99 motherboard to be tested, I agreed to send these two games for free, just paing the shipping costs.

Well, since the above dates I am waiting for the payment of the 2 shipment I have made, my parts fixed as promesed and the games he told me......I have received nothing from him......just promeses and I frases like "I will ship this week" "I will ship next week" "GIVE me your bank account for the payment"

Last e-mail he sent me(becuase he is not repling to my PM since 20 Otober 2010 was that he would have shipped the goods and payment the 23 November but
once again nothing!!!!

He can just tell me that he has problem at home, not financial problem he told me, other kind of problem.....then In 5 MONTHS he has not found the time to send me back my parts and make a payment.....this is not acceptabel for me....

Maybe I will not gat back anything, specially after this thread or at least one day I will get back my parts not repaired but what I want is that no one of this and other forum will have the same problem in future with him.

BUT I HAVE HIS ADDRESS and mobile number.....

Mario

I have been making some deal with Melvin and I always get my payment but the only two times I have made a trade with him I had many problems, in 2009 he sent to me not working mobile phones(I have not been the only one to get or not getting at all mobile phones on SEGANAOMI forum) and in 2010 a naomi 2 never received and after two months of PM Melvin decided to pay for it.....becuase he told me the shipment got lost.

I have many Pm of Melvin/Myuniversallove of mario's trade because some parts Mario sent to him are/were mine too, so I am ready to give my password to and show what Melvin wrote me about this metter....he said just a lot of lies, he has been 5 months promesed for the payment and shipping but nothing

He had same problems on Sega Naomi forum...

In my opinion Mario has been to patince with him, I would have wrote the above message before.

Craig/Giz10p has outstanding issues - but this forum is slack, I beleive Pete warned people about this guy - he was banned from sega-naomi.com, but some smart **** on here thought it was good to make him am moderator.. :palm:

Anyway - I've been told Melvin has been selling items on an auction site here

http://verkopers.marktplaats.nl/"

I believe it was Lindbergh mainboard, vidoe card etc - I dunno if they where Mario (ginodifagna).

people can't be warned in the right way if you don't write his full name in a right thread....

I don't recall anyone warning me at the time, including your moderator self.

We were lacking in mods for the tech section, myuniversallove was being very helpful in that area at the time and his name was suggested to cools and I so we gave him a chance. This was obviously the wrong decision in hindsight and I apologise for ever giving the guy any responsibility. We will be more careful in future.

myuniversallove was removed from the team a few weeks back after I gave him a chance to resolve this and he failed to. I have since been in contact a couple of times and he has made more broken promises. He was also suspended from the marketplace and will of course be banned if he doesn't sort this out.

I'll send him yet another email.

He'll probably come up with another sorry excuse. I know he made a few good trades on here after being banned from sega-naomi.com but come on. Who wants to deal with a bloke **** up twice, I wouldn't. Not even if he changes his name again. :problem:

Pete 100% told me he told another moderator on this site, I've mentioned about people in the past, to be told there actions on other forums do not count on this forum, and they should be given a chance..

Well at the end of the day, guy is out of pocket.. :( This hobby turned sour last couple of years IMO, still a good few, but there has been increase in turds..
Say hello to my little friend...

Yeah, besides in PM Richy and I have kissed and made up. Ironically he's also admitted that his wife is due next week. Good luck dude!

As for out of character........... maybe, I just saw red I have to admit as I am dog tired and 1 day late on shipping a PCB compared to the last few weeks I have had. Well, perspective is a funny thing.

Okay, I deleted up to "kissed and made up". Can you feel the love in this thread now? :awe:

I had to get up and turn the computer on as I was sick of fumbling with my phone in bed. I've got to get up at 6am. :palm:

Good work though lads. Tbh, I didn't expect that to get resolved.

Hmmmmm... I met Melvin in person and he seemed to be a straight up fella. This said, I have some stuff outstanding from a deal (he owes me a Naomi lamp box and promised me some sitdown legs too which we later switched into two marquee holders). Haven't been chasing after that as I trust him and wanted to wait until my projects are at a point where I'd need them... Strange to hear all this... :eh:

Well, of course he add some good deals, with me too...and I thank him for those...but too many time he had/have problems too, I don't know whats's the reason, maybe money or family but this not allow him to ask or buy parts and then desaper or just make promeses.....

Mario offer to Melvin to send forwarding agent to his door to get his goods, repaired or not, and pay for the shipping....but no reply or action form Melvin side
He replied to me telling that is not a problem of money....but It can't be a problem of time becuase 5 months are gone and Mario just wants his good back even not repaired, this means just the time to put parts inside a box.....I can't believe Melvin has not able to find this time in 5 months

So I am really not abler to understand what he wants to do...no, I know this is plaing around us and this is not acceptable specially becuase it is not the first time

Sure, just added my point of view. Never felt to chase him because of the remaining parts - 50% because he acted friendly and trustworthy on- and offline and 50% because he was a mod here. Also, I never heard anything about the past problems he gave others. I just think this is sad as I don't think he is "evil" like an O' Greedy was... Maybe I am just too soft hearted I guess...
