Amazing! I spent hours and hours cleaning and patching mine but they look no where near as good as that. Well done!

Sooo nice to play on a clean and fixed cab. :)
And you're the one with the nicest game room i've seen here :awe: . Absolute awesome. Stole the blue LED lightning from you  , hope that's ok..
Not ok, now you have to pay Monouchi-tax = more pictures of your finished cab. :awe:

Sideart will be done by Pinballdreams. You made me anxious about the first source i had :( . I also got the Attack from Mars Pinball decals from them and i pretty like it.So lets see what they can do for the Egret 2.Send them a piece of the original sticker to check the colors.Unfortunately the silver glitter won't be possible to do.

Painted coin slot. :palm:

Laser printed stickers. :palm:

This went from being a promising resto to essentially being the cab equivalent of a blinged up Vauxhall Nova. :problem:

For the love of Christ I hope the side-art isn't terribad.

Some people like it original and some don't give a sh** about that. Yes i'm of the second group 8-) . I prefer to have a cab which is repainted to one which still has it's original paint on it, but is scratched and has marks. But to everybody their own. It's the same theme in pinball. Many like an original playfield and original cabinet with marks and scratches,.. but other prefer to have a restored one with a new clearcoat, new cabinet decals,...
I'm not a collector so for me the original state means not too much. I also don't collect kits. I like the pcbs but don't care about the art and box. I wanna play...
And no i don't drive a pimped Vauxhaull :P

Painted coin slot. :palm:
What's wrong with that? It was also grey original, no?

I would be afraid to play on a cabinet looking so new. You should put it under a glass dome and just look at it now and put rotating cameras inside to see how the hidden chromes shine.
It will never be as beautiful as the day you finished to put the last sticker on.
You are going to ruin your own (amazing) work playing on it... :P

lol. Would be the same as when i would have a garage full of supercars and just look at them. You should drive it like you stole it and so i do with the Egret ;) . Play instead of drive :P

Although i'd prefer the original in good condition and would concentrate on the f'd up parts i am with you.
As long as the original look is achieved/not messed up (because an E2 looks awesome as it is :awe: )

The coin slot is a light grey. Why paint it that dark?
And there are the sidearts... I think i never saw good repro sidearts.

So i also understand everybody that is not ok with the approach "tear everything down - make it new".

I think there are more than the 2 perspectives "leave it rocked" and "make it completely new".
There is a 3rd perspective: "Conserve everything that is ok - fix the parts that need work".

I like the 3rd one the most by far.

Ohhh i didn't know the coinslot was light grey.My one was pretty dark and yellow,so i thougt its the sams color as the bezel. Of course i would have painted it light grey if i knew.

And my E2s have repro side-art and painted bezel, not original color. :awe:

But of course you should play on it ! I was just pulling you leg.

I am actually considering what I should do with my Pony MkII. Leave it with its genuine arcade wear or paint it new... I had to repaint the CP as it was really wrecked, but I am still undecided for the rest...
