Cheapest, Moto G. The J was out of date when it was released, newer Sony are better but still cluttered.
One up, Nexus 5.
Premium, Moto X.
Or any of the current Google Play Edition devices, those are expensive though.

The Moto G is really good for the money. I had a go on one recently. It has vanilla Android as it's googles and you can expect quick updates as a result.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
Just caved in and ordered a new Mac mini. My 2009 one was due to be replaced.
Base model with 8GB of RAM (damn you apple).
I don't do much, just the odd transcode these days, so I didn't need to spend more to get a 2012 quad core, although it would have been nice to bust through blu ray rips in less than 26 hours.

Any must have iPhone apps I've missed in the last 2 years?
I'm loving, as I knew I would the physical thing that is the iPhone 6. Metal, glass and leather with not a smidge of plastic in sight, but ios8 is same old same old

It is a nice phone, just a bit too big for my liking, still prefer the size of the 5. Having a few issues with rotation sticking and some apps freezing momentarily when I'm coming out of them but otherwise all good!markedkiller78 wrote:Any must have iPhone apps I've missed in the last 2 years?

Did you get a 64gb mark?
For gods sake, its a carton box - not the holy grail!

£16 of Tesco vouchers + £30 off code ... it was just too much to resist.
What have I done?

I'm still tempted by the Air 2, but need to stop myself. Nicer screen (laminated to glass), better CPU / GPU and most tempting, 2gb ram. The Air is cheap, but the mini retina is a bargain.Rossyra wrote:£16 of Tesco vouchers + £30 off code ... it was just too much to resist.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
Picking it up tomorrow.
The lower spec vs the Air 2 doesn't bother me, it's only been superseded for all of a month, besides I've been using an iPhone 4 only till this point. The main selling point for me is the Retina screen.

What size did you go for? I notice the 32gb in grey is £330/360 and white £370/400 WTF.Rossyra wrote:£16 of Tesco vouchers + £30 off code ... it was just too much to resist.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
16GB is fine, I'd rather save the £40. I don't even use half of that on my iPhone.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
ios 8 takes up 5gb on my iphone 6. It's a bloated bitch, to be fair you can remove garage band, movies etc and free up 2gb. I only use the ipad mini to surf the net, so 16gb is plenty if you don't use games or pointless apps.Rossyra wrote:16GB is fine, I'd rather save the £40. I don't even use half of that on my iPhone.
