A reasonable assumption to make, but until release - just an assumption

At 560ppi in 2014 it's a pretty safe assumption.

5.9" is way too big. Seeing as it's a nexus, I might end up getting it.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)

Dell UltraSharp U2414H is great, not perfect, but great.
The complete unit is only about 1cm larger than the 21" I was using with such a slim bezel, so I've lost no real desk space. I hate the tactile menu buttons, but once you've calibrated it once you'll never touch them again (calibration is non-existant out of the box). I hate tactile buttons in general though

There is an issue mentioned in the reviews where it won't output the full 24-bit colour gamut from an nVidia GPU when using the native res and frequency (it automatically restricts it to HDTV range), however there are ways around and I went for the simple registry hack to get fix it permanently via HDMI. Apparently this is a long-standing nVidia problem not specific to this screen.
The panel itself is lovely, great viewing angle and nice even brightness across the whole screen, the colour and contrast give my Panny G20 a run for its money. It's 1080p of course, but for a 24", for me it's perfectly fine and won't have any niggles running my HD consoles. It has a matt finish but I can still see some reflected light from the wall behind me which is mildly annoying on a black screen. Might have to move my couch or something

Really can't complain for £200, can't find anything for that price that beats it

He's an idiot then. I'm quite sure he was paid well enough for his time, and if he was as indispensable as he makes out he could've taken all the weekends he wanted.“I have to be honest, the first thing I can think, all those weekends that I could have at home with my family but didn’t,” he said.

Yeah, that annoyed me, he made his own choices. Somehow I doubt Apple's lead designer is unrewarded for his efforts otherwise.

It's ridiculous! I can't believe so many people have bought them.Pete wrote:I saw a iphone 6 plus out in the wild at Play Expo maybe just a little too big
The screen is lovely, but it really is tablet territory.

Yeah the 6 is bad enough...I much prefer the size of the 5s but the 6plus is absurd!!markedkiller78 wrote:It's ridiculous! I can't believe so many people have bought them.Pete wrote:I saw a iphone 6 plus out in the wild at Play Expo maybe just a little too big

Just waiting for someone to make a substantial screen protector for the 6, most of them don't go anywhere near the edge, I know it's curved but they could do a bit better than the current ****!!
For gods sake, its a carton box - not the holy grail!

Just noticed that my F5 key is the cleanest one on my keyboard.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
I had to google 'F5 function'
I can't remember the last time I used any of the function keys.

Re: The great macdebate (now with roids)
Bunch of iTunes lovers
So, Nexus 6 turns out to be an appropriate name. Too big, and more than likely about £150-200 more than I'd be willing to pay for it if it wasn't too big.
So I've just bought a used Nexus 5 for a decent price instead. The interesting part is that Google are maintaining this model as a standard line, at least for now. Meaning it should get a reasonable set of updates.
Nexus 9? Looks to be a stonking bit of kit, provided the keyboard case isn't £100 extra and the tablet itself sells for a sane USD equivalent. Too big to fit in a pocket. Shame it's basically an iPad Mini rip off with a bigger screen...
