I nearly bought a m6, but fuel consumption put me off, I have had a x5 twin turbo and a 3 series convertible (hard top)in the past year and a m5 before that.
Loved the m5 hated the 3 series convertible and the x5 was very quick for such a heavy beast with its twin turbos.
The 6 is a 635d and is a very nice drive, but back end is a bit flitty when you boot it.
I have been surprised at how fast it is off the mark for a diesel, I would not go back to a petrol now, but I am thinking about getting a vx220 turbo for blasting at weekends having read so much on pistonheads
One of my mates recently bought a 2013 Subura Impreza WRX STi Sedan as his daily driver and it's frighteningly quick. I went for a spin in it and was **** myself the whole time. I've been in older model Impreza's and Evos previously but they never felt as exhilarating as the new STi - it's likely that it's just my memory playing tricks though - I am getting old so am less accustomed to going fast and more inclined towards comfort and economy

Tremendous car but >£900/year road tax
The MY13 will be a 2.5 so you get some great lowdown torque and very good response............. unfortunately these engines have a bad reputation and quite a few of them need strip downs quite early in their lives. I was a nats male chicken away from buying a brand spanker this March just gone....... came to my senses though as I knew I would end up ripping the engine a new ****! I love the looks of the Sedan though.
£900 is the first years tax and is including in the OTR price..... subsequent years and you're talking around £450.

Ahh, I see. I thought £900/year sounded steep.
He came to his senses about a week too late once it was already in his drive
Been working with Litchfield's over the past six months, to trial and test various tuning options for the A45. Gaming has taken a bit of a backseat this year.
Anyway.... I'm currently running a Litchfield A45 AMG Stage 2 conversion. 450bhp in a hatchback is mental!!!
Was trying the fancy charging through the cig plug option and having trouble getting it to work (on several cars now)
Am I doing something wrong or is the quality of this "premium product" rather poor
Mine is in the garage with the whole front taken down for changing bushings, shocks and torsion bars.
the lower control arms were bent! (Some serious racing for this car in its earlier life??)
...and its fricking hard to find straight 2nd hand ones.
