The really sneaky bit is that the JavaScript for that page is resolution independent. It will always force scrolling the bottom 310 pixels

Having completely smashed my iPhone4S up a couple of weeks ago, it's nice to have it back today. And the bonus was that they replaced the whole unit rather than just the screen and casing :awe:
Unfortunately, it has ios6 loaded onto it. So now the question is...do I keep it or head down to CEX and exchange it for a second hand model with ios5?
Seeing as the most used used part of my phone was the maps, I'm thinking the latter!

The only issue with waiting for a standalone app to come out is that it probably won't be able to integrate with all the other apps that utilise maps. Possibly there might be a setting like some apps use with chrome though.

And as for the maps not being that bad....they are shockingly poop. Apart from crawley roads being badly wrong, the general lack of businesses/POI/McDonald's :awe: on the apple maps is painful. I have used the maps so heavily over the past few years for work when I've been travelling, and now apple maps is basically blank. I would say they have less than 10% of the info that google maps has. I'm thinking that you're right though, a Nexus or SIII is probably the way to go. I wonder if Pete fancies swapping phones? :lolno:

I thought you were in IT? Just put it into recovery mode and downgrade it with the 5.1 ipsw file.
I thought you were in IT? that doesn't work, Apple stopped signing iOS 5.1.1 a whiles ago. He can downgrade if he has his signed 5.1.1 SHSH blobs, but he won't because the phone was on 6.0 to start with. :awe: :awe:

You can downgrade to IOS5 with a 4S. You have to download the correct IOS5 firmware and downgrade in iTunes.

I stand corrected. One of my work colleagues managed to revert a 4S but it was probably a beta build of iOS6 as it was some time ago.
It looks like iOS 5 is no longer signed which is the problem... Boo to Apple here. The Maps are blimmin awful.

Chrome is a browser, not an email client.
