Just about to build a CRT discharge tool and I found that Apple made two official CRT discharge tools! (p24 in this PDF: http://www.macheaven.net/MH_Manuals/apple_safety.pdf").

As probably the biggest apple fanboy here I HAVE to own these :D

I like the drawings in that manual, classic Apple. I kinda miss those days.

Managed to resist the 4S, and stayed tight on my maximum price for a second hand iphone4. Ended up finding a 32GB 4 for about half the price of a 16GB 4S, so can't be bad.

Fanboyism is bad (addressed to the guy who wrote that article).

Sometimes I can't resist pressing the 'stupid button' at macrumors, and the same question and reply cropped up a few times by separate people...

"I'm in such a bind. I can't decide between the hard cover or the ipad version. Oh what would Steve want me to do?"

"Steve would have wanted you to decide. Follow your inner voice. Stay hungry. Stay foolish."

I'm using Siri more than I thought I would. How long before it becomes self aware though?

Me too - I thought it'd just be a gimmick but it's actually useful.

I got laughed at by The Girl for being polite to it the other day:

- Remind me to do a VAT return on the 1st November
- Ok Dan. Here is your reminder for 1st November at 9am. Is this OK?
- Errr better make it 11am
- Ok Dan. Here is your reminder for 1st November at 11am. Is this OK?
- Yes, thankyou

I'm not an Apple fanboy, but I got a free 2nd Gen iPod with a broken screen (which I'll fix).

I was disappointed to realise it won't run any Llamasoft games, so what games are any good on a 2G?

Ya damn blasphemer. Apple has already decided how long your battery will last for, who are you to question their wisdom?

I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't steal an Apple mug when I was in their London offices for a meeting last year and even more disappointed that I didn't get to visit the Company Store when I was in Cupertino a few months ago - it's the only place you can buy official Apple logo stuff (t-shirts, mugs etc)

If those "retina" rumours are true, then I think I'll just have to get one on release. I've held off on a tablet until now, but that will probably be the thing that pushes me over.
