It's certainly not an easy job mate. The problem is, even if you had an accurate net of the seat back, the artwork still couldn't be made to fit perfectly as it's designed to go on a flat/slightly curved surface, not this multifaceted nightmare. You deffo need to trace the bottom part where the insert goes, luckily I kept the stc sticker that was mounted there and used it as a template. Then do a lot of test fitting, putting folds in the artwork where it'll meet a change of angle, to get the placement right. It's the four corners of the Initial D logo which are a pain, as the seat back starts to go in so many different directions. There is no way to do it without cutting some slits in the artwork and either having small sections overlapping or cutting small wedges out. It's a bit difficult to explain but you'll see what I mean when you try it! Just get it as straight as you can, work from top to bottom and get the center panel done, leave the sides of the initial d logo sticking out in thin air and then do those last. I smoothed round the main horizontal plane on the logo next, then fiddled about with the four corners to finish.
Given what a pita it is to do, the end product actually looks very decent, all things considered. Just accept the fact that you're not going to get it perfect before you begin and you'll be fine!
