Interested in British opinions:

In case I'd go for a used Nissan 350Z - coupe or roadster? :awe:

The 350z is a nice looking car, well the coupe is, but it's sloe and haldles like a bag of spanners. Both it and the Mazda rx8 are really cheap over here, so it's still worth considering.

I absolutley hate roadsters. If a car was designed with a roof keep it that way.

My last car:

Mitsy FTSlow GPX :P

Image

Didn't do too mcuh to it. Just minor things like springs, induction kit, bluflame exhaust/downpies etc.

I did make myself a nice new gear stick and handbrake out of solid stainless though.

Also made an accessory/start button plate for grins:

I sold it a couple of months ago as It was rotting and was going to cost some serious £££ to get it through the MOT.

I was planning on making do without a car for 4 months or so but I only lasted four weeks and got a 52 Golf 2.8 V6 4Motion as I wanted something more practical but still with a bit of poke.

from driving one. I really wanted to like it when I first saw it, the bronze colour looks great. Suspension is too soft and the weight distribution feels off. Power is also a bit lacking for such a big n/a engine.

I realise you can sort the car out pretty easily, but I'd rather buy a good german car. I would consider buying an rx8 or 350z as they are stupidly cheap in the uk thanks to the emmisions / fuel economy (2 things I'm not that concerned about as I drive <3,000 miles a year) but I'll no doubt get another BMW or Audi

its been around 4 year till i last drove the regular version of the 350z so i can`t really remember , but it seemed pretty fine to me.

the one i`m driving now is Cobra customized and i`m more than happy with it ( even if the GTR would be much nicer :awe: ). still , it will be gone by the end of the year

Germans make good cars there is just no getting away from it. I’d take any BMW M power car from 1980-2005, any Porche 911 Turbo, Any Audi S or RS………over a Japanese equivalent.

The thing is, I would only ever buy German or Japanese cars now and I’ve still not owned a Japanese car to date as there is always some German in the way :awe:

As I say, I would still consider a bronze 350z at the right price.

German cars bore me to the death. If you count the Ford cars that are build in Cologne as "German" cars, okay - that's a slight exception, as I am a slight Ford fanboy. If they'd bring the new Puma they had in the Auto Express some months ago, I'd be down for one. If not, then I want to go down Sushi lane :)
