Anyone got experience of PAC-DRIVE

Post by Hitesh »

Am I right in saying that you can set it up so only the relevant buttons light up.

For example, no buttons would light up on Pacman, one button would light up on Space Invaders...... etc etc.

That would depend on the plugin/frontend you are using - MAME itself has no built-in support for the Pacdrive, whilst e.g. MaLa does.

I've got a Pacdrive, but haven't tried it with MaLa (it's going in the DDR cab for Stepmania), so really can't advise further.

Mamehooker is a good little app that supports the pac-drive and works well with the lamp outputs in Mame, also you can make a simple lpt port device for mamehooker that will only cost a fraction of the pac-drive.
Works great with my ChaseHQ cab ;)
