Not sure where to put this, but anyway...
Say that the MVS hadn't encountered mass piracy issues, and SNK didn't see the need to move to a new platform until now (Type X2) for KoFXII and SS Sen.
Do you think we would have seen Metal Slug 6 and KoF XI as MVS releases? Maybe we'd have actually seen the sequel the Mark of the Wolves? I'm sure KoF XI on MVS could look incredible if the time was taken on it, going by the graphics in Garou. Maybe we'd have seen the first true Giga Power 1Gb cart?
The inevitable drama over the home cart releases would have been highly enjoyable too.
What do you guys think?
What if... SNK continued the MVS

I dont think they would of kept with MVS. with the big upspring of HD/widescreen theres just no place for it in the current market. Im suprised there is not more homebrew games for it though.

we will have to see how long the cave boards hold out on the current tech. I would be surprised if they did not jump on the ability to very a Viewlix no ones done a vert game for the viewlix yet. I think cave would want to get in on this.
The remake of KOF 98 seems to be very popular though in JP. but are we talking about a world wide market or just the west?

its not just about the boots issue. Cave got around that by changing the hardware. I just believe that everyone is looking forward with the hardware. I games not **** just because its new and shiny and has HD graphics.kernow wrote: There is still loads of demand for low res games, so it could have carried on if they sorted out the bootlegging issue.

I thought AWSD were the standard now? I did go to a lot more bigger arcades than I did smaller ones.
