Re: MAME 0.136
there are no high score support/nag screen removal diff files available for .136 yet. when there is i will compile it for you incorperating these. As cools said, a standard compile of mame does not include these. Also, do you want a gui style mame? ie MAMEUI? or just the basic MAME?

As soon as the diff file is avaible it will be done and postd here. Ive done another compile of 135 here with no nag screens and high score support http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7664 it's still available for download, its the mameui version but give it a go.

Re: MAME 0.136
nar I have not hit a quota - I just thing u need an account etc
You want to download the following file:
http://rapidshare.com/files/307977625/m ... _score.rar" | 58053 KB
Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later.

Re: MAME 0.136
ok, they have too many users for the free download, try again later, it will work. Alternatively, you could open an account for 6.99 euro for one month and it's not a subscription.

Re: MAME 0.136
Does anyone know anything about this?
A little while ago, I was reading on another forum someone saying something like 'with what the mamedevs have planned, mame will be a lot faster in the future'.
I can't find any mame news that mentions anything that this could be (or at least, not that I understand).
I know about the recent multiple cpu emulation/syncronised clock cycle changes that have slowed everything down a lot, but is there anything planned that'll get things running faster? openCL? Better multi-core support?
Or did I just read a load of made up crap?

Re: MAME 0.136
I havnt read anything about that but they will have to do something radical to get naomi games emulated correctly on mame plus model 2 stuff.

Re: MAME 0.136
Yeah, it's naomi that I'm most interested in. I love mame's resolution options. Naomi fighters look great in 15k progressive imo (scaled down to 240 lines) but I don't think any other naomi emulator developers are interested in adding weird resolution options to their software.
Oh and nice one on the compiling philbee. I've been using mameplus XT for hiscore support and a nice little addition of movelists on the ingame menu for fighters.
There's a couple of things I don't like though. The ingame menu is not as friendly with low res as it is with standard mame. mamepxt scales the menu and text down for some reason. Also, I think they've got rid of half the nag screens but not all of them. I don't mind the nag screens too much though.
