It's not really a technical question.. more of a request.. involving me sending someone a mass storage device.. and them sending it back full of awesome stuff.. with a nice front end ready to be dragged onto my pc hd and have hours of fun with.

Best to hang on a while till Naomi is in there fully - it's a MASSIVE update.

I'm not bothered about Naomi.. Just want some shmups and fighters.. I have a few different emulators on the go at the moment.. but id like them all to be under the one emulator. I've got a MAME running Batrider,Dodonpachi and 3rd Strike.. but 3rd strike doesn't seem to want to work right with my HRAP stick.. but the others work fine.. I would just like a nice setup with a nice front end.. one i can control with my stick and looks good.. with full online play. is this even possible? I am just rubbish with sorting out all the directories and whatnot..

You can tell that I keep up with Emu’s :(

What’s this Naomi update business? Are any Naomi games running fully?

What about this stuff:

STV
Model 1/2/3
PGM
Gnet

Are any of them working fully?

Basically in a nutshell i want all my Neo Geo, CPS1/2/3 and good shmup pcbs (DDP, Raiden, Batrider etc etc) all under the one emulator.. with a nice simple front end with online play. (most importantly for Street Fighter games). Can anyone help? I have a 60GB HD sitting here i can send to anyone.

Is GGPO an emulator on its own? Or is it an add-on like Kailleria? 2Dfighter.com seems quite interesting.. does anyone use that? Does finalburn support most platforms? I've always just used Kawaks which is great and simple to use but doesn't seem to like my HRAP stick.. I think finalburn seems like my best option.

See.. the stick works perfect in some emulators then in Kawaks only the buttons work.. I'll look into it tonight.. i'm off tomorrow so i'll probably just sit at the pc all night looking stuff up. I'll be on MSN if anyone wants to lend a hand.

Di it yourself - mame is the easiest thing in the world to set up, just extract the emu, add the roms/samples etc, use a nice easy frontend like mGalaxy and your done.

a hell f a lot easier than sending a hdf off to someone and a thousand times quicker!

I would help BTW but ive got no windows systems except in my mame cabs.... sorry, but if you need any setup advice im happy to help...

Kawaks is so easy to use.. I have loads of games for it and its always ran smooth and easy.. but when i move to MAME most of the roms don't seem to work on it.. no neogeo stuff works at all actually.. and only some CPS1/2. It's a pain in the tits. If only Kawaks supported more it would be the daddy.

MAME requires "best available" dumps. Most of the other emulators don't keep up with this so your ROMs don't tend to work between them.

Setting up MAME and a front end is dead easy. I'd happily help you out but again, don't have a Windows box handy so testing would be impossible.

ROMs aren't hard to find either :) And getting the ones you want rather than everything won't take long, much quicker than sending a drive off!
