Stereo into my Noir Cabinet HD:

Post by Celestein »

I'm trying to make this 100% compatible with a PS3,cause now that Tekken 6 is out, everyone wants to play it on this thing. Got the controls hooked up via PS3 Chuthulus, video is obviously plug and play since it has HDMI in.

Now to sound, I'm still somewhat fresh to the arcade scene and really don't have much familiarity with these sound amps. Based on the pictures below it obviously doesn't have phono/rca inputs.

How can I go about doing this? is it as simple as striping the red/white wires off a PS1/2/3 cable(is there actually 2 wires in a phono jack? +/-? I've never stripped one to see), and putting them into a molex harness to match that one?

Alternatively , is there a sound amp that is inexpensive that *does* have phono inputs(just for general ease of console use, and not stripping a $10-$20 cable every new system), that is plug and play compatible with the connectors on the speakers shown there?

Any thoughts/advice appreciated  , people just bugging me to play Tekken on this thing.

Yep 2 connections in an RCA phono jack. Ground is the outside part (-), output/input the inside (+) of the plugs/connectors

You'd be as well fixing up your own phono adaptor to the molex, you could even add it to what you have there if you plan on swapping a lot.
