I stumbled across Incredible Technologies' new 2009 arcade cabinet and I think it may be the future of arcade cabinets in the USA. Imagine the popularity of something the size of a tall end table that you can put under a wall-mounted big screen VESA panel. Maybe not so big with traditional arcade operators or purists, but I can see it being all the rage in the hospitality market (read bars) and home use, especially if they offer it as a standalone universal JAMMA/JVS cabinet.

Not quite as it's 3/5 the size, half the depth, and half the price. The fact it works with any panel from Wal-Mart of Best Buy is just icing at that point.
Used as a 2p unit, I do see it being a bit small. It might work with a Vewlix-style 7-button narrow layout and each controller set canted at a 30-degree angle.

It's just a pedestal, that's it. It's designed to use a generic HDTV that's mounted on the wall. No display included with the cabinet at all. Power in, video out, pretty much.
If this is what it's coming to, I'd rather plonk my **** on my comfy sofa and play games on my LCD telly. It just seems so far removed for the cabinets that we all grew up knowing. I mean, at least the Vewlix looks like an arcade machine, not like an LCD telly on a pole with a cashbox connected.
