Edit: Finally found the picture:

JOR - 10,612,940 - Stage 5-2 - Yusuke

It's much more fun that you'd think if played a bit more. I bought the PCB and figured it would be as fun as ESPGALUDA, but it's not. The scoring mechanism is really fun I think, the only thing that really sucks is the boss milking needed for great scores.

Code: Select all

Player Stage Score Character
TwonK ALL - 18,254,770 - J-B 5th
CharlieChong ALL - 17,810,880 - J-B 5th
Markedkiller78 ALL - 16,924,270 - Yusuke
Neo Gold	ALL - 15,746,150 - Yusuke
BAD 5-2 - 10,948,710 - J-B 5th
JOR 5-2 - 10,612,940 - Yusuke
JEP 5-2 - 9,489,950 - Yusuke
PXJ 5 - 7,291,640 - J-B 5th
Lee 4 - 4,970,280 - Yusuke

I played half a dozen games of this yesterday and managed a weak score of 1.4 mil on the third level.

I'm playing it like Ketsui which probably doesn't help, point blank with the B shot followed by the A shot. I'll check the guide on shmups and put a couple of hours in to it tomorrow.

Maybe your board is ****.. Have you checked the battery. :awe:

It does feel slightly looser than other cave games, still liking it though. Will know for sure after a couple more plays.

First game I played... Died after 20 seconds trying to pick up one of the hands.

Downloaded the Clover-TAC superplay just now, man that **** is boring. 5+ minutes on the first boss chipping away at it for maximum score. No thanks, although nearly 4 mill at the end of the first stage. :o

Thin white line down the left edge of the screen? I've got that too had to stretch the screen slightly as it bugged me. Probably your old board, therest of the game so far appears fine.

The game does look lovely though, the fine details are really nice. The level with the boats is my favorite so far.

I've been trying to look for requirements for a second loop or true boss? Is there anything like this I see thers a level 5.2 are there requirements needed to play this?

Here you go. Took about 20 credits to beat the 4 mill mark. :awe:

Lee - 4,970,280 - Stage 4 - Yusuke

Would have been better but I pricked up right just before I killed the big robot dude. :(

Really not feeling this game too much now. The ship speed is all over the shop and the slowdown is **** annoying.

I've been using Yusuke selected with the C shot.

Scoring around 1.5 mill first level and 1 mill each for the next two. The scorning mechanic goes out the window on the 4th stage.

I got this PCB recently off a member here.
I have found JB 5th to be far easier to get the 16x multipliers than the other two. On Yusuke I can barely ever get them!

I really like this game, but I have not had the pleasure of playing too many Cave games as yet.

My scores are not worth posting as yet, but my top score is just over 4mil. I am averaging about 2 mil but agree with Kern that sometimes I can fly through on 1 life to the end of the 3rd and others I get killed a few times on the first level :S

kernow wrote:I have a few glitches on the board, but I remember my first board having them too, well not glitches as such but a line will appear when it changes from the warning screen to title screen I seem to remember, could be fussy on the +5 but maybe not. I think it happened on the first board too.
I just picked up this board and it has the white line on the left too. Is this a common thing? Any way to fix it?

I think I'll pop this back in over the weekend and go for a JB5 clear (not trying to beat charlies score at all )

Nice work Emph, I finished on 10-11m on my clear. It bumps the score by 5m+ depending on what you have in stock.

I've never played this game. I have a chance to pick it up for $220 is that a good price for this game? :D Or should I just hold out for Espgaluda or Espgaluda II???

I've been playing Dodonpachi on my psp. I downloaded it from the japanese psn store. I can play it on psp or ps3. They also have Donpachi which I bought aswell. But yeah I really like the music in Dodonpachi (especially the boss music) and its a great game. To me music is EXTREMELY important in games. Like Espgaluda II. I love the music in that game aswell. Death Smiles also has great music. 8-)

I agree. Music can make or break a game for me.
Death Smiles has awesome music, as does Mushi 1.5... Possibly my fave music is on Battle Garegga, however if you don't like Dance music it is probably best avoided

Is there a place or website or 360 or something to try out Mushi 1.5??? I’d like to try it without dropping $1000 on it lol
