My new Mame / PC Jukebox Cabinets

Post by Hitesh »

I got two of these from work. One is brand new and another is slightly used

Hoping to convert these into Mame (using PSX Controllers) and PC Jukebox.

Only trouble is thats is Linux and I cannot get it to install windows xp. I boot from CD and the CD is a Windows Installation disc but it comes up with "operating system not found" message.

Whats the spec of the PC in it? I can't imagine it being verry powerful and you may only be able to run an early version of mame ~0.69. You may be better off putting a cheap P4 in it and running XP.

I, as yet, don't know the spec of the PC. Had a quick look at the insides but its so tightly packed that I went no further.
I am anold skool arcader so the spec may not be a probelm.

Not sure about what Linux it has. It boots up and goes to a Kodak photo to CD Writer software and I cannot break out of that. I know nothing about Linux so will have to try to install Windows.
