So, I've been meaning to build a GBS-C for a while and would like to try it out in my astro city with my xbox 360.
So Xbox 360 component 640x480 to GBS-C downscaled to 240p VGA out . Now this is the problem , what would be the best way to connecting to my cab ? Can you wire a jamma fingerboard to the GBS-C ? Or would I need to use the VGA out to a Jpac or something? I also have one of those scart to jamma boards but would need to convert VGA to scart , so bit of a faff.
Let me know if you have any good ideas.
Also have controls to deal with too.
Thanks

Re: GBS-C in Sega Astro
I'm looking for an (easy) way to connect a 360 up in my Pony too. Rather annoyingly I gave away 3 GBS-8200 a couple of years ago. That being said I quite like the 360's interlaced output.
Interested to know what you decide on.

@cools let me know if you fancy borrowing mine on an indefinite loan! It's been sat in the box for the past two years

Re: GBS-C in Sega Astro
One GBS-C AIO built and tested. Took a couple hours to build, probably less if I'd got the right tools for easy SMT work.
Xbox 360 VGA (480p) to GBS-C and 15KHz out - not great. Works but doesn't save presets properly, needs to be setup every time you restart the GBS. Suffers from cropping in both horizontal and vertical aspects, impossible to get a pixel perfect downscale. This is RGBHV downscale, which is apparently not ideal anyway.
Xbox 360 SCART (480i) to GBS-C and 15KHz out - better, presets seem to behave. Has the same cropping and downscaling blur.
I guess the latter would be fine for anything other than the CAVE ports.
I've ordered a component cable to try with, from what I'm reading that's where things go pixel perfect.
Thanks for the lend @wigsplitta
As for controls, I'm curious whether either of these are an easy win.
