Your best bet with a SNK MV25TA-0 is 'GameSaru' in America, alternatively the actual owner of 'Amano game museum', these are the only people I know of who actually have these cabs in their possession. Forum member Richy13 will probably be able to inform you more accurately (as he's been to thge museum and met the owner) but I don't think this cab was ever produced/sold past the concept stage and almost all prototype cabinets were literally bought by Amano game museum.

There's a guy on UKVac with a beautiful condition Taito MT-8.

thank you for the information i will try to listen to gamesaru.

I think Amano game museum have 4 slots model, SNK MV25TA-0 is reclinable 6 slot model, only for this specific model i have excellent sc-25 for trade.

Bizarrely, I have a CP holder… rusty I’m afraid. Yaton special.
I’m still kinda tempted to chrome it myself and build a supergun inside, but if you’re actually going to complete a cab with it it would be silly for me to keep it…

I paid loads for it back when I had disposable income ( :( ), but it’s probably not really worth that… what are you thinking? Anything fun to trade?

unfortunately I have little time to do aesthetic work and basically I prefer to get something not refurbished especially for a u4 which I find average common, thanks anyway for proposal.

to get a mv25ta you should trade 10 sc25 cabs or trade your sc25 plus $50k.

I don't understand what this comment has to do with my request post, anyway I have already rejected a trade for a SNK MV25TA-0 to be refurbished one. The trade for me was not on par with one of my unrefurbished ones.

the comment is worth as an update

I remember seeing a photo online at some point of a Japanese arcade room with a few MV25TA-0 cabinets in it. They looked to have been well used.

Been looking high and low on the internet for the last while but can't seem to find it again! Might be saved locally on one of my harddrives at home. They had loads of stickers and signs all over them.

Did find this photo that has at least two of them;

Someone on neo-geo.com found one in an old arcade warehouse back in 2005 (unfortunately the picture they posted doesnt work, boo!)

Game Saru in the US got his hands on one a couple of months (or more) back. He does a video run through of the cab if you search up his posts.

mv25ta is ten times rarer than the cabs you are offering for trade. Simple as that.

That's not how it works. Rarity does not equate with desirability.

You're making the assumption that every person who wants an SC25 would rather a MV25TA-0 instead. Reality is far from the case.

A MV25TA-0 is a very niche machine which is of interest to a small group of candy cabinet collectors at best. Most people who have one to a handfull of machines in their house would probably rather something else instead.

I'd much rather an SC25, it's far more visually pleasing - doubt I'm alone.

Read again my statement.
I never said or suggested what you are stating. That's your opinion.

As a matter of fact, mv25ta is one of the rarest cabinet ever produced : almost all serious cabinet collectors have never managed so far to get one and when it surfaced once on yahoo auction fetched very high price, far more than other coillectable cabs.
SC25, on other hand, is much more common and cheap priced, compared to mv25ta.

Desirability is a totally different matter.

I always try to understand your comment on my post what it has to do with it I'm looking for people who want to exchange collector cabinets, not your point of view. Concepts such as rarity and desirability are absolutely relative.

You said an MV25TA was ten times more valuable than an SC25 because it was ten times rarer. That is just not how assigning value to something works.

My little 14 inch PYE CRT I have in the front room is probably one of the last left of it's kind on earth. It's millions of times rarer than a LG OLED. Does that make it much more valuable than the LG OLED? Of course not.

For sure, an MV25TA is valuable, I'm not saying it isn't. It will fetch a high value. But to say it's worth X value based on some arbitrary assessment of it's rarity compared to an SC25 is nonsense.
