Is this because the CPS2 battery is dead?

Is this because the CPS2 battery is dead?

Post by gigagiga44 »

I found an old CPS2 board in the closet.
When I connect it with JAMMA and turn on the power, the screen is displayed, but the color of the screen is very greenish.
(No red color appearing?)
I live in Japan.
When I called the PCB Shop in Japan, they said, "The battery is dead."
But I have doubts.
There was a board other than CPS2 that had exactly the same symptoms (Fighters History).
Since this symptom occurs even on a board that does not use batteries, is there another possible cause?

If the cps2 game boots, the battery is fine. Since both games you tried have the same symptoms, this sounds like a monitor issue to me. Does every game look green?

Yes, "SSF2X" and "Fighters History" have the same color. (I uploaded the image. I sold the Fighters history board so I no longer own it).

The video is displayed through an upscan converter.
I did Fighters History with OSSC and SSF2X with Frame Meister.
Do I need to make any adjustments? ?

Edit: Color display is normal in Hyper NeoGeo64's Asura Zanmaden. I am using OSSC.
