Name that game?
I don't kniw if a thread for this purpose already exists, if it does I couldn't find it, my apologies.
The game I'm looking is a run and gun style, overhead view, the main characters looked like cartoon versions of Mark Knoplfer and Jimmy Hendrix welding electric guitars as weapons that shoot lightning like bullets or musical notes, not sure, art style was on comical cartoony side, anyone knows this game?
Edited: it was a 2player game since I remember that it was set to 1 coin 2 credits and I used to play it coop "free" with a friend.

Re: Name that game?
I have an odd one that I've never been able to track down.
I remember playing it in an arcade at the same time as Captain Commando for an idea of date.
It was a scrolling beatemp up (2 player at least) The style was similar to Final Fight and not monsters (like Monster Maulers).
The unusual thing was that all of the enemies had very long health bars.I seem to remember there being around 3/4 on screen at one time. Almost like the game was some sort of boss rush.
All the best,
Paul

No problem, I have to say I had not heard of the game before but it was pretty easy to find via google with your description.tennokoe wrote: September 17th, 2023, 12:26 am That's the one, although in my memory seemed to have better graphics, Thank you.

Well, the video is in the wrong aspect ratio, which doesn't help.tennokoe wrote: September 17th, 2023, 12:26 am That's the one, although in my memory seemed to have better graphics, Thank you.

Re: Name that game?
Hmm yeah, that's a bit too generic for the time period to pin point. Remember anything else? Scenery? Characters?mx5dob wrote: September 21st, 2023, 12:46 pm I have an odd one that I've never been able to track down.

Some bosses in The Punisher have ridiculously long lifebars.mx5dob wrote: September 21st, 2023, 12:46 pm I have an odd one that I've never been able to track down.

Re: Name that game?
The non-generic thing about it was that it was a boss rush. It didn't have any popcorn enemies, only large characters with huge life barsaerobert wrote: September 22nd, 2023, 7:19 amHmm yeah, that's a bit too generic for the time period to pin point. Re: Name that game?
Ah ok now I understand! Could it be a game which had a boss rush mode which can be set by dipswitches? Because my only thoughts (currently) are Monster Maulers and Metamoqester.

Re: Name that game?
I remember it looking similar to final fight, rather than the fantasy style of Monster Maulers etc and there were a couple of enemies on-screen at once even though they had large hit bars. It must have stuck in my brain as an unusual gameaerobert wrote: September 22nd, 2023, 10:43 am Ah ok now I understand! Could it be a game which had a boss rush mode which can be set by dipswitches? Re: Name that game?
Trying to dig up a name of a game but my old rotting brain doesn't want to comply.
It's a hybrid fighting/run n gun game from the mid 90's. Korean made if I remember correctly.
Did we get this other game above solved btw?
