Hasn’t this been released several times already? (He says, playing Metroid Prime Remastered.)

Getting it day one. Huge RE fan here, and 4 is my favorite.

Re: RE4 Remake
I'll second that. I never finished 1, I never got on with the controls despite getting pretty far in.kernow wrote: March 7th, 2023, 9:52 am2 was definitely a good remake. I couldn't be bothered with 3 as I wasn't a big fan of the original.
I would like 1 with a third person view please.

Re: RE4 Remake
I've been slowly going through and platinum-ing them on PS4. Got Remake and Zero done, almost done with 2. If you haven't tried 3, give it a go. It's super fun especially on replays. I got good enough to run through it in about 90 minutes, but I love short games.

Re: RE4 Remake
Spot on Kern. 2 was great, 3 was meh. A decent remake of 1 would be ace.

Re: RE4 Remake
It actually wasn't that bad. The invisible enemy mode and knife only runs were a trick, but at that point I basically had the game down. Replayed it last weekend on the switch when my TV was taken over. a timeless classic Remake is.

Re: RE4 Remake
The original is probably my 2nd favourite game ever made. I play it every few years and it never stops being amazing. That's a lot to live up to and while the remake is a good game in its own right it really doesn't come close to the original IMO.
The 2 biggest pain points for me is 1) the combat isn't as well balanced and just isn't as fun (Electric Underground's review is about the only one I've seen that actually goes into detail about these issues), and 2) you can't hear the offscreen enemies clearly enough to tell how close they are, which simultaneously makes the game a lot less scary and makes it feel less fair since you have zero time to react before an enemy attacks you from behind.
RE2 Remake was much better done I think, and Code Veronica definitely could have benefited a lot more from the remake treatment than RE4-- It'll be frustrating if that one just gets ignored by Capcom.
