possible to extend astro remote board to cp??

on the new astro the remote board is in the c.p but on the normal astro it is always under the bottom of the horizontal side of the monitor so when tated you have to take off the surround to change screen size... me n mark did try unscrewing the remote board when i got the astro but alas the wires didn't reach that far.. just wondering if it's possible to get the wire that connects the remote board to the monitor from a new astro city and swap it for the shorter one in my normal astro?? also what would this lead/ wire be called!!

I've got a spare Sanwa remote board & wire from the Naomi I necked. I very much doubt that you can do a straight swap, but you never know.

ta mark! mebbes the wire will work ??! trying to think whose scrapped astros.. i remember someone did but canny remember if it was a new or or just normal!
