fixed fudged monitor

Post by brendz »

so ive aquired a used 25" monitor. wells gardner 25k7193. seems to "work" but with crazy distorted picture. the vert sync seems good but everything is all waves horizontally. ive tryed messin with all pots i could find and put them back to where they were orginally except vert sync as it was rollin like crazy. text is pretty much impossible to read. here are some pics with mr driller g test screens. any one got any ideas, stuff i should check. thanks

Does the black look blue like that in real life?

I had a ground issue once that looked like that but Grant would be the one to say for sure. Are you running it from JAMMA or JVS?

first you know these require an isolation transformer
those k7000 chassis have 4 separate sync connections
http://www.wellsgardner.com/pdf/Board/K ... 7_inch.pdf
what wire do you have connected where?it should go red/green/blue/ground/nc/nc/nc/nc/-hsync
also make sure you dag earth is connected to the neck card

To be honest, a video might help more, I can't tell if the h is partly sync'd there or the camera has just frozen it.
