your most prized arcade possesion?

Post by Lordstar »

What is your most prized arcade possession?

Its not that pricey but mine would be my English copy of Magical Drop 3. Its just so much fun to play. I have pricier games like uo poko, puzzle de pon R and vampire savior but I just love this game so much. I had a ragged JP cart a while back and I sold it and I regretted the moment i did that. I was looking for a kit for a while but then I saw a loose cart on ebay. 33GBP and it would of paid 50+. I may get some of the higher priced boards in the future I may even get street fighter 3.3 or street fighter 4 lol but magical drop 3 will hold a special place in my heart.

Green board or blue?
I do like that game but i find it difficult specularly after playing alpha/zero or SF3.3. the lack of a parry or jump blocking throws me out.

Most prized Arcade things would have to be Samurai Shodown 2 and KOF 98 MVS carts and maybe my SF3 3rd Strike CPS3.

Dunno... I need my cab in tate (hopefully doing that tonight if the new HOT fixes the chassis) and some sexy Toaplan verts to play... then I might have a really prized one.

At the moment though, it's R-Type Leo.

Flying Shark/Hizhou Same (with a home-made soldered-on JAMMA extension so the cable fits properly :P)

Almost worthless in terms of £££, but one of the first arcade games I got into as a nipper. I don't think I'd ever sell this board.

And I can still make you my bitch at it! Can you imagine how bad you would suck playing a tournement level player? Mr Megalo is still the best 2D fighter I’ve had the pleasure of playing against and by some margin I may add. I don’t think I’ve ever won a single match of HNK against him.

Name the game & the guy will hand you your **** with style.

I get the impression that most of the games mentioned here are for nostalgic reasons? I played a bit of SSF2T in the arcade, but I was always much better at the Alpha games.

Most prized arcade possession would be the E2. It took me a very long time to get one but it was well worth the wait. Games wise DDP, the game that got me into shmups & SFZ3, the first pcb I ever bought & boy was it a good choice.

Come on Joe, what’s yours? You have some seriously rare stuff stashed away :)

Yeah,I named it most prized becuase its not about the actual value (alough they can be prized too) I was hoping to drumb up a few intresting stories about people buying a claped out cab and finding a rare game or just something that has a special place in your heart for whatever reason.

thinking back I also own a Samurai showdown 2 Cart which is the first MVS cart I ever got.

theres also the copy of Puzzle de pon R I traded for two polo shirts  deal of the century.
