Right, so I want to knock up a little adapter that lets me use a Neo Geo stick on a Sigma AV7000 Supergun.
Looking at the 13-Pin Din pinout for the Sigma sticks, there is no GND connection. Am I right in thinking I could connect the GND from the Neo connector to the metal barrel of the Sigma din? Or is that just retarded?

The metal shield is usually connected to Ground.
