Monitor Rundown and Rankings

I've been wondering about this over the past few days, and thought it might make a decent FAQ topic if we had a list of all the common monitors that we are likely to come across and give a quick rundown over which are the best for whatever cabinets, what chassis upgrade options are possible, bezel type (curved or flat) and stuff like that. The possible tubes and chassis that come with certain cabs as standard would also be a great addition.

I think something like this would be of great help to forum members, and a brilliant addition to the candy cab wiki too if a monitor section is made.

loads of that info is here but it been lost in one of the sections somewhere

there is a list of yoke readings that match to chassis and tube shapes to chassis

i will poke cools to reinstate the monitor guide as a subsection

Yeah I've been thinking of making a monitor section on Hard*Candy, among other things. Anyone else have ideas for different sections? Admittedly I don't really know where to start with monitors, so I would be relying heavily on user contributions.

The autogenerated pages need to have monitor fields instead of candy cab fields. The ones on the Rodoron ones are probably partially irrelevant/incomplete, but I thought I'd just throw that up there as a template that people can copy. Probably wants yoke readings etc adding to it, but I figure that someone who knows much more than I do about monitors can suggest much more relevant fields to go in an autogenned template.
