What are the best Emus out there to be used in a front end, for example mame zinc, nebula and zsnes. but im not sure of other emus for the like of DC psx megadrive.

AdvMENU can manage all of the emus you mention and quite a few more besides.
The main advantage of AdvMENU is native UI rotation.

I use Kega Fusion for MS, MD, MegaCD & ePSXe for playstation.
Both worthy but ePSXe might need to be re-configured depending on your setup!!
