Okay, might sound strange or weird but I guess everyone should know my strange way of thinking by now : )
I want to build a PC with the same specs and (where possible) with the same components as the Type X2, or maybe Lindbergh, Europa-R, Ringedge - any of those modern, PC based systems.
Well, I am not really into Type X2 and LCD-cab-era gaming yet, so I wanted to ask if anyone has some sort of list detailing which components were used in the respective systems?
Ahm, actually I just want to make another Mame PC out of it. The Intel Atom is alright with CPS2 stuff most of the time, but sadly a bit too dodgy when it comes to CPS3 and Neo Geo. Also, I'd be interrested in ZN2 emulation as I own Plasma Sword and Kikaioh but never get round to plug the PCBs in. However, I'd want to play them emulated
Or are there even more Type X2 games available now besides Blazblue???? Maybe I have to google...
what I mean is If I have mame installed on my type X computer andI have my jamma IO plugged into my harness can mame or xpadder pick up the button presses for mapping.
(I understand that the usb type cable is different mainly the a wire is not used)

That's fairly trivial actually-- someone just needs to write a JVS input backend for MAME. Just access COM2 and send the relevant JVS commands.
Are you the man to do it
I'm not very familiar with the JVS spec past identifying whether or not a link to a JVS control board has been successfully established or not, and the last time I looked at MAME's input.c and inptport.c I nearly threw up.
Okay, got a P4 651 3.40 GHZ, 2 gigs of DDR2 800 ram and a Geforce 7800GTX which all should be nicely close to Type X2 specs. Now I just can't decide on a mainboard. Any recommendations to a good alternative for the Toshiba mainboard? As I said, want to run mainly Mame on it and maybe *cough* Blazblu CS *couch*
