Hi, i'm running a compiled mame .129 with nag-free and high score support (thanks again gargoyle), it's great but i've just noticed that although the high score support is working fine on all games i've tested so far, it refuses to work for Dodonpachi.
I've checked the 'Hi' mame folder and it's not writing a .hi file for the game but there is a file there for SF, DK, etc, and all that other games thatare saving high-score ok.
I've tried renaming one of the other files to ddonpach.hi just to see if it was a problem of creating, rather then saving the high score, but obviously that didn't work.
Dodonpachi is supported by the high-score support according to a few mame websites i checked out. I've also checked dipswitch menu to check high score saving dosn't need to be enabled and couldn't see anything that would help.
Just wondered if anyone knows why this would be happening only on this one game? is it saving on your set-ups - it does on my netbook but thats using UI32.
If anyone could help i'd really appreciate it - just want to get my scores saving!
Ps. Would it help to get someone else's .hi file for this game and give it a go?
Many thanks, TMC.
Mame; Dodonpachi, the only game not saving high score, why?

Hiscore.dat support is a lame hack.
Enable autosave and always use the latest full release.
