Depends how aggreived you feel, I would have expected a return-for-refund at the very least, even with return post covered for what is entirely the seller's fault, as he admits.

I don't think it unreasonable to expect a partial refund, even if you did get a good deal to begin with, assuming you are able to mend and make do.

It sure takes the edge off a 'good deal' when the items are damaged from shoddy packing, which in my view there is no excuse for.

my 2c - how much would the posters have been sold for if they had either been cut down on one end, or sold as being 'rumpled' - if that is less than you payed for them then yes, you deserve a refund. the fact a free poster was thrown in is not relevant, that wasnt part of the deal.

Ive not bought anything from sven666 but as far as im aware he has a good rep, so surely he would want to keep this?

negative feedback, stating the facts....

Doesn't the question then become, would you have bought these at all if they were sold as damaged already?

If the answer's no at any price, then that's a bit of a problem. If you would have, then I guess we get back to how aggrieved you feel, and whether a partial refund is in order.

If you're already past the point this can be put right, it's definitely not positive feedback is it...

Really?
how long till your next relapse?

I remember Melvin when I struck a deal with him some two years ago.
I sold him my naomi cabinet for a decent price but he kept changing the pick up dates (and I kept holding of others who where interested) untill he did not show up at the final date we agreed and finally cancelled the deal because he said he had personnel problems(no divorce, something else, always something personnel with this guy). I contacted the other seriously interested buyer but he had already bought another more expensive naomi which was not as good as mine. In the end I could not find another buyer and sold it for less then expected.
Then he contacted me for the naomi boards and games I still had, because he still wanted those. I gave him another change, believed his sorry personnel problems stories and we made a trade. I send him my boards and games (my mistake) and he would send me his part of the trade. Offcourse he never did! It took me over 4 months, numerous e-mails and even threats to get my boards and games back and in the end this also cost me money.
You have been warned. He relapses every time, then tries to make up for it and after some time goes wrong again. As I am not the only one he scammed and made false promises to I am surprised he can still get on this forum.

Sorry to hear that :problem:

Looks like he kept it at just that one post out of nothing anyway and took no further action ,
maybe he is surprised Members don't cheer from happiness at his unexpected return .

If they're flapping about and not greatly secured then i'd say they arent quite what you paid for, as a gesture of goodwill a partial refund would be nice?

Hi Kern,

As you asked for opinions, here's mine.

This seems a bit of a departure from the standards we have come to expect from rklok.

I have seen these on Yahoo and it looks like 4 could be bought and shipped for not much more than that amount.

I'd be more than a little disappointed to have received goods in that condition after having paid that much.

£0.02

HTH

Cheers,

Ralph.

Hi Guys,

I agree that this isnt one of the best refurjobs we did. It's no excuse but I didnt do them myself. I should have checked them better. This was all done in a too short timeframe.
For those who have these issues with their bought stools , please PM me and we will solve it correctly...

It sounds like thats what kern did but with little results, which is why it ended up in the thread. This is a real eye opener

Nine pounds paid over a month ago to JamesABaldwin (a long standing forum member) for some DS games. No games have arrived, avoidance of making contact with me despite the fact I know he/you has/have been on here recently. It's not a lot of money, but I've paid for them. Where are the games chum?

He has been officially warned about non payment of items on hold. His communication is generally poor. He has been suspended from the marketplace indefinitely.
