Re: Jaleco Pony Mark III 25
Funnily enough I’ve currently got this in the works. I plan to get a few spares made up but that’s in no rush so might be a while.
In the meantime you can use these measurements if they’re any use. I figured I’d worry about joystick mounting last. I’d like to make a button only panel for myself first, then a single player panel.
If I sold some I have no idea yet what they’d cost. I can pull in favours for a personal project but it’d be different if I’m getting more than a couple produced. I should be able to get a very good print job of the overlay from a friend.

@mikejmoffitt That looks superb. I like the grey A buttons.

Sounds good. I know a few of us would go for it. Keep us posted! If I beat you to it, I'll do the same.pubjoe wrote: September 22nd, 2020, 9:37 pm Funnily enough I’ve currently got this in the works. I plan to get a few spares made up but that’s in no rush so might be a while.

Why not an ls40 with Seimitsu clears? Would be even closer in looksmikejmoffitt wrote: August 27th, 2020, 7:22 pm3D printed translucent stuff usually looks pretty ugly, but this is a fairly simple thing to model. If someone with them can get the dimensions, maybe having them produced proper wouldn't be outrageously expensive.
Another option, which I tried for a while, is to mount a JLF instead of an LS-32, and use the readily available oversized dustwasher + clear shaft cover. This is fairly close stylistically.
I got lucky with this cab, as it was a gamble with KC, and I only got to see a pic of it off. Lucky me, that the tube is in good shape.

The LS40 clear dustwashers could fit an LS32 nicely if someone found the perfect shaft cover. Maybe improvise with some transparent tubing from an aquarium store? Dunno.

How are they different from LS-32? I added them (new model LS-300) to my Pony.

After googling opinions of the LS40 I’m steered off by fighting game players who say they hit accidental diagonals more easily. I gather it’s better suited to other games.
JLFs cause this less as you need to definitely pull the joystick deeper into a corner. I guess the LS32s would be somewhere in between. I like the LS32 compared to a JLF so maybe I should actually try the LS40.

Re: Jaleco Pony Mark III 25
Fujita in the first episodes have a crazy amount of games.
All going to waste because he can't even use them or display them. That's an unhealthy case of hoarding, not collecting. The guys story is tragic and I'm not surprised this is how he handles it. I hope he's happy now though but he really deserves something else for him and his games.
EDIT: Going OT, back on track with this now.

Re: Jaleco Pony Mark III 25
Had a look - the LS40 with the clear dustwasher and shaft cover might be a really good match, thanks for the tip. I will order some and give it a shot.
I had this cabinet powdercoated, and have slowly put it back together and gotten everything quite nice.

Naturally the monitor rotates fairly easily.

All of the lamp hardware for the marquee was missing, so I am finishing up my replacement for that. Some theatre gels will help the faded green section as well.
