Anyone want to buy a second hand previous model iPad for marginally under rrp?
no?
lol of course not. I'm really just surprised that people are actually paying that on ebay. I know apple stuff has decent resale value, but they're buying "The not-so-New iPad", second hand, off a bloke on ebay, for the sake of saving twenty quid.

I fancy a tablet for couch surfing, I hate apple's stance against stuff like flash and Java though. Lame.

Word, I'd rather sites didn't use either, there are some that have their login in a flash window though or some other critical thing like that :palm: Nothing more annoying than going to a site and discovering I'll have to come back 10 hours later when I'm at home Image hng

Yeah, it's terribly overused for pointless frills. It's a shame though as it was actually extremely good for the < 1% web apps that demand it. 99% of the time it's just a crappy animation that maxes out the CPU though.

If 7 inches isn't too small for you ( :awe: ) then I'd recommend the Nexus 7, brilliant device.

Rumour has it there's a 10" Nexus on the horizon.

I don't have flash on my laptop nor tablet and don't miss it at all, I've not had it for at least a year and haven't had any problems. Java I do have installed for a few things, no big deal.

Personally, I think 8" is the sweet spot for a tablet, 13" for a laptop & 30" for a deskotp.

32GB nexus is what I hope to get for christmas.

16gb is just a little too small for me. I like to have photos on a tablet or laptop

My rough usage:

2GB os
5 GB games (some are getting really big, batman is 1GB alone)
4GB photo
4GB apps
4GB music

I could get away with 16GB, just dump the music & photos, but why should I!

I was under the impression that Jelly Bean Android 4.1 was dropping flash but can't notice anything not working on web pages that worked before so maybe it is really dead.

Mate at work has a iphone5 but is regretting it now over it, in his own words "its the same as 4S" when I asked what was new.

Looking like the days of buying a cheap Acer are gone now:
