If you’ve never had cheese and beans on toast, you’ve never lived!!

I didn’t have time for Bloodsport, but I might well treat myself tomorrow

That and Hard Target. There's always time to watch Hard Target. Just make sure it's the International version!

I used to mix up lionheart and bloodsport , didn't realise they where different films for years !

watched the killing recently kubrik b&w It was ahead of its time a bit i think ,good watch
also stumbled upon this and never heard of it before Koyannisqatsi form 1982 and part of a trilogy and not a film in the normal sense, a real visual and aurel spectacle that draws you in and has a great ambient soundtack by philip glass

Speaking of Kubrik, I only just watched Paths of Glory for the first time last week, incredible film. Haven't seen The Killing either, will check that out.

Koyannisqatsi also added to the list!

Saw Furiosa. It's not as good as Fury Road. Felt like less practical effects in this one and the CGI looked cheap. Thor and chess girl were decent, young Furiosa was great. But compared to Theron, Hardy and Hoult, yeah.

Sound design was bang on. Loved the motor sounds in Imax.

It did make me want to watch Fury Road again though.

Watched From Dusk ‘til Dawn this morning, for the first time since it was new. What a truly wild, and genuinely fun film.

You could never make it now, and even if you tried nobody famous would be in something that doesn’t have an overtly ‘woke message’.

Bring back films!!

Watched that new Axel F film the other night I give it a firm 2/5 you could almost predict every element of the plot & at first I thought it was a pilot for a tv show.

The Boy and the Heron has some incredibly animated scenes that it's worth watching for but I found the overall story left me very cold. Felt like it was dipping one toe in surrealism and the other toe in traditional Ghibli fantasy without really committing to either, it feels a bit disjointed. Would be interested in hearing what you think about it.

Saying that, I'd sit through hours and hours of fluid Ghibli animation about anything really. It's just so nice to look at.

I thought as the season to be jolly is apon us I would watch the latest but just over a year old John Woo's "Silent Night" well its ok & passes the time but just comes across as a bit dull in places more of a tv movie then a big screen jobbie.

It was nice to see the production company was called "A Better Tomorrow Films" though.

I bloody loved it. I deliberately went in blind, not knowing anything about the plot, and it was all the better for it. It starts off slow and grounded and then this whole zany wonderland slowly unfolds in front of you. I didn't read any analysis of it afterwards either. I found it to be a touching story about grief, acceptance and moving on, but there's obviously a tonne of other symbolism in there, and, knowing Miyazaki, a message about legacy. The man's talent for sharing stories of personal growth and mankind's place in the world, combined with his boundless imagination, is unparalleled. Must watch it again.

Yeah I went in blind as well and found it as good as any of his others and certainly didn't leave me cold but I did not anticipate it to expand into zany world of others either ,what my I don't know . The crispness and vibrancy of the drawing at start took me a minute or 2 to get used to but after that I was in, what it did leave me with was wanting to watch it again as like you pang I felt a world of stuff I probably missed out on. Best movie I've watched in a while
@pete I had planned on watching that last night but might just leave it for a bit bow

Wild Robot was excellent. Dreamworks output is as good and often better than Disney / Pixar now.
