Re: Apple Fanboy Thread
Well its neither
or
really. It's just something I do. I mainly just arbitrage bet. Find good value to bet on and lay it off for insurance. It's not really gambling, and it's very very boring. But I don't have a trade and unskilled wages are ****.

Re: Apple Fanboy Thread
I went to the local dog racing track on Saturday night. Put a few bets on, lost all but one which made me £1.
The girlie did better, she made £2.

On topic, there was probably a couple of fags there sporting iPhones.

Back off topic. Man Jeremy Kyle is a male chicken. He'll say things like "Men should NEVER beat up Women", and "Paedophiles should NOT work in schools", and then get a round of applause!

Oh yeah. Today at work, the chef got a shiny new iphone. He insisted on using that 'bump' app to give me his new number. We got the program up and then I held my phone in my fist and accidently punched his phone across the kitchen.

Re: Apple Fanboy Thread
You know, I used to prefer it when apple had a much more negative stigma.
I'm really clueless about appearance. ...And I don't mean in an art student "I don't care what people think, I wear this funky top hat because I just want to be me" way, I mean in a "****, I didn't realise I still had a curry stain on my chin - I haven't seen a mirror for two days" way. I cheated the death of my work trousers by borrowing my mate's girlfriend's sewing kit and botching together a dangerously obscene rip that ran from the crutch to the knee (luckily I was wearing my new non-frayed christmas pants). I've got an extra two Months out of them so far. It's a bad thing. I'm basically an embarrassment to fashion, and so I avoid getting anything which looks like I'm trying to be too fashionable as it will only fail (I've actually bought more apple products in the last couple of years than I've bought clothes). Lucy will occasionally try to help by buying me something "fashionable" and then I feel like a tit when I'm wearing it. Well, you get the point.
So apple, being so "in" now, leads me to a dilemma. I'm obviously slightly proud of being an alien to style or I wouldn't have just described it now, but apple is far too fashionable for me. If I was to purposely avoid an apple product and get something more punk instead, I would then be purposefully buying a product based on a (non fashionable) image that I am intending to give.
So if I buy an android, I am letting fashion influence my choice. If I buy from apple, I'm not.

The only reason I've ever really needed to access root, is to waste time fixing or replacing something that wasn't working properly in the first place.
There's a flower metaphor in there somewhere, but it sounded a bit gay.

The fact that you have analysed it means that no matter what you choose to buy in future has been influenced by your perception of fashion.pubjoe wrote:You know, I used to prefer it when apple had a much more negative stigma.

The only solution is to flip a coin, Harvey Dent style.
No more decisions, leave it all to chance (until that becomes cool). This would also be in keeping with your punk sensibilities as all punks are / should be anarchists.

Last minute rumour is electro-tactile feedback from the screen. Sounds a bit unrealistic but it does make the "and touch" line of the ad make sense.

This guy was first to call it a week ago (Yes I can't resist clicking the forum 'stupid button'.
) and he makes a good point. It all adds up really.
