You watched it?

I've probably had less exposure to whatever Twilight is than the third world.

The Canyon: the most pointless film ever made.

Jennifer's Body, bit odd but ok.

I didn't have a clue what it was (Twilight that is)... Missus got it out for the little one to watch and it was surprisingly brilliant.

Family film though DS, family film. It probably is a bit of a gay choice to watch with your mate. :awe:

The only reason I know of Twilight is because of this: http://www.rifftrax.com/displaythickbox ... height=400

I bought the RiffTrax for it a few months back, but have yet to watch it. Looks to be hilarious.

Paranormal activity  The only thing scary about this movie is how well it has done. 15000 dollar budget and it has already pulled in over a hundred million! Extremely slow build up, lack of depth in the characters and overall just lame :D Oh noez the evil demon is knocking on our door boo hoo

Gonna watch star wars with my boy today. Starting with episode IV remastered :awe: ...Really looking forward to it.

Oh and err... Just realised. Twilight - never heard of it. It's a buffy thing isn't it? I thought you were talking about "Stardust"! :shifty:

Yeah, the women of my household all screamed at it, I just got increasingly bored and wanted something to actually happen, even the "thing" lurking in the attic ended up being a disappointing let down (I don't want to spoil it for anyone). I really thought the film was going to take off from that point onwards, but no. It's also not very widely reported that Steven Spielberg reputedly suggested the alternate ending and a full re-edit for the cinema release (which is what we have presumably all been watching). The trailer I saw and the film don't match for one thing. Someone should do a spoof. No doubt there is a pr0n version of it somewhere :wtf:

I do think the best bits were the parts where your imagination was left to work overtime, whereas too many films destroy that necessary tension by actually throwing a visual representation of your fears onto the screen. Cloverfield was one such "handycam" film where seeing the monster and hearing it reduced it's efficacy. So much better when shadows prowl, sounds are hard to pin point and you let your own personal fears manifest. I liked it best when nobody really knew what was happening and the TV footage in the shop showed you what you imagined to be aliens dropping off the larger alien. Just leave it there, you don't need to know how big the problem is to know it's more than you can cope with as the city is being wrecked. Why reduce the power of "the thing" by showing it towards the end of the film.

As you said... not great, but ok and could be improved upon. It's been ages since I saw a horror film that impressed me. Anyone seen any recently?

Coat, wallet, keys, shoes & finally pub. If someone you love is going to subject you to such torture I think you are entitled to give them the obvious space that such viewing requires. As the song goes "...from a distance..."

Parris, your kind of viewing, X-Factor and Take-That in one evening.. IF my wife said that, she'd be Taking-That around the side of the head.. lol.

God TV is crap.. Looking forward to the Descent Part II though, cause Caves are cool..
Say hello to my little friend...

Yeah, I really liked Descent, but I only had it on UMD for the PSP so it was a bit of a tight viewing screen lol - need to look for that one for the media server!

Agreed! TV is rubbish these days. I like the fact I can pick & choose programs I want online and the sooner TV execs get their heads around providing a service that delivers content on demand the better. A button that allowed you to just delete X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing from my viewing would be excellent. I've been saying it for years. A bit like on forums when you can pick friends and foes.
