With the very kind help of my Step Dad (Howard), we started to put it all back together :D

We got this far and then hit a slight problem. Unfortunately the older type speakers are very wide at the back and don't leave enough room for the new monitor. So I am now trying to find a pair of the newer thinner type speakers.

I see you got the phantom head poking out the cab, it is a common issue.

That powder coating is fantastic! Looking at spray cans and thinking "stuff this!" Well worth the money I'd say as far longer lasting, more hard wearing and just look.... no LOOK at that gleaming finish.

Small update  I have just replaced the vinyl on the foot plate and finally managed to replace all the rusty nuts and bolts with shiny new ones :D The chrome is looking all nice and polished, but the picture doesn't really do it justice.

I received the slim line speakers from Marvetto. He shipped them and the newer style top bar that holds the monitor in place all the way from Italy :D The newer top bar has an extra spacer that brings the monitor forward an extra couple of centimetres so that it meets the monitor surround flush.

I fitted the speakers, the new top bar and then put the Sanwa PFX in place :awe:

I then sorted out all the wiring for the speakers, fitted the seat and applied the new base stickers.

I decided to try using a Kenwood A-85 Surround amp that I had spare for the sound. The great new is that it powers all five speakers and sounds absolutely awesome  :D :D :D

Looking great Andy :D

1 Q' though.

Where did you get the monitor surround from to fit the PFX?? Or have you not sorted that yet??

If you do, I have the exact same problem :) and need a one :)

I had to tweak the geometry and the colour a little.

Yes the plastic bolts unscrew and the holder then pop's out.

I was thinking of getting a panel made up to mount the G25's pedals, but then saw the Pedal mod done by Darth Nuno at dragonslairfans.com. So I have been busy cleaning up and restoring the original pedals. The problem I have is that the Sega pedals use 5k pots, but the Logitech G25 apparently uses 10k pots. Is it possible to get 10k pots to replace the Sega ones i.e. of similar spec / quality only 10k or is it possible to get the 5k pots working correctly with the Logitech G25. Any ideas?

Replacing the pots may not have any effect, I did several tests with no success. The only thing that matters is whether the potentiometer is fully used or not (i.e does it rotate from one end to another ?). I plugged the 5K pots of the pedal assy of my Jambo Safari cab on a x360 hackpad once, and the only way to have full throttle was to tweak the gas pedal to make it rotate the pot entirely. I then switched the pot with a 10K one and the result was the same. On my cab, when I play regular arcade games the pots are used only half of their rotation capacity (180 degrees instead of 270).

So I guess the 5K pots will work on your G25, but you won't get the full gas/brake/direction unless you make the pots rotate further.
