Bernie, I've not booked anything yet, but I have priced it for going down Saturday coming Monday & it's £65 (£70 if you want to come back late Sunday night

Mark I should be able to get Monday off, just need to check that the boss has nothing planned for me. I have never been to any of the big arcades in London. I realise I have missed their peak by a number of years but I am always up for a pint.

The few big arcades with decent equipmnt are a bit shiz. The one with best games is Casino, but the equipment/sticks are shocking.
I think the Trocadero fighter section is the best we have though - lots of versus cities and some nice HD cabs too.

Although at least the "real games" work in Casino. The Ponys in the Troc are practically unplayable now.Devil Soundwave wrote:The few big arcades with decent equipmnt are a bit shiz. The one with best games is Casino, but the equipment/sticks are shocking.

I'd love to have one of those ponies. It would make an awesome vert cab for me. They do need a serious amount of TLC though.

Strip/sand old paint, fix dents, respray, new CP overlay, done. Even the shagged bezels shouldn't be too much trouble to replace.

I am due down to Northampton on 12th December if I remember rightly, so if you can stand my inane conversation between Glasgow Central & B'ham New Street then I'll join you in your civilized train journey. Can I assume that we need smoking jackets and loafers?markedkiller78 wrote:It's for the train ds. I'm sick of flying. Working in London & living in Glasgow meant 48 flights in just over 6 months, sometimes I was only in London for 4 hours then flew back.
Train is much more civilized. I would be in kings x for 14.35 give or take

What's the evening plan? I am going to be down in Northampton and would be leaving around 6 or 7pm, but I am staying overnight in Northampton and need to get back, so will only be able to really spend 3 or 4 hours in London.

Re: Arcade Otaku Xmas Trash
I think its a bit hard to say. Once we'd been round the arcades last time we hit up the pubs around Goodge St. then ended up in Chinatown at a Dutch pub. Once you start going round the pubs its a bit hard to pinpoint where you're going to end up
especially with so many people. It shouldn't be too hard for you to catch up with us though, just send a text or call someone when you get into Central London.

Re: Arcade Otaku Xmas Trash
Can anyone recommend any decent priced hotels around central London, I have never stayed there before?
