I need to get a 15khz>31khz converter to run Jamma/MVS 1 slot mobo on a sega 31khz monitor.
I see [Japandeal] have two. I imagine these should work ok. Will the cheaper one be fine? Are there any other places to buy them from?

There's this on eBay, not the cheapest though
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Video-Converter-P ... 2933wt_754
Or much cheaper from HK
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CGA-EGA-YUV-TO-VG ... 1280wt_907
Christ I might even get one myself at that price!

The cheapest: http://cgi.ebay.com/Arcade-RGBS-CGA-EGA ... 4837c9fed4
I got one from them 6 months ago and I am very pleases with it. You can also hookup your Gamecube, 360 etc. via component. And you can also make your Scart adapter very easily (R, G, B, Gr, Sync) to connect to the 5pin connector (bottom left of the picture).

When you add UK shipping it's exactly the same price as the HK one, I'd put money on the HK one arriving sooner toockong wrote:The cheapest: http://cgi.ebay.com/Arcade-RGBS-CGA-EGA ... 4837c9fed4

I'm curious, why are you looking at one of these if you've got a PFX inbound?

Re: 15khz>31khz convertors
I've just bought another Naomi UR off Adam and I'm putting it on location at a University bar. I'm going to run Jamma and MVS though it so I need one for the 31khz monitor.

I have one of these, but the one that's packaged as 'HDBox Pro' exactly the same innards, but only accepts component in. The picture is pretty good, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. It's no X-RGB, but it does sample all the way up to 1080p
If only it had scanline emulation :jizz:
