*solved* Wei Ya quad-sync and NEO-GEO problems

Post by emphatic »

There's a guy I'm trying to help that has an AWSD with a Wei Ya qaud-sync and has connected a NEO GEO MVS-1FZ mobo but it won't sync. It just flickers momentarily then goes dark. On my Tri-Sync, I have to bridge the sync cables to run NEO GEO, but he had no success when trying this. Does anyone have any hot tips? :awe:

Send a PM to the user Erzane ... he had this problem there's a year something and fixed it with the help of some french on a forum if i am correct.

This is a typical problem with Wei-Ya ---> Sync

I remember on my C3129A, impossible to stabilize some systems :?

And the solution:

He simply bridged a 470 ohm resistor between the Video Ground and the Video Sync from the PCB to the monitor. Apparently, the sync signal is too strong for the sensitive Wei Ya chassis. I will make myself a small adapter I think as I have some issues with certain PCB's myself on my Tri-Sync. :awe:
