Does anyone know what would be a good replacement for an Astro City mounting bracket and mounting board? Or do you have dimensions?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Astro City mounting bracket, board dimensions sought
The mounting board is 400mm tall and 500mm deep(12mm ply)
When you say mounting bracket do you mean the runner the board slides in and out on?

Whatever it was that was bolted to the bottom of the cabinet, yes; all I know is something was bolted in and was not there when I got the cab. I have no runner and haven't a clue where to get another one.
Also, if you know - is it possible to install Happ Perfect 360 joysticks in the cab? Wiring-wise, I mean; they require +5v each.

Re: Astro City mounting bracket, board dimensions sought
I took the mounting bracket out of one of my cabs to make room for a PC. I'd rather not part with it since I may want to put it back in later on, but if you can't find one somewhere else and the price is right, send me a PM.

Well, is it a generic bracket that can be bought at a hardware store? If so, dimensions would help. If not... well, I'll be pming soon, I figure.

I'm not so sanguine about my Astro City purchase now. I don't have that rail. There's a nice, lighter-colored area on the cab floor with three screw holes which told me something was missing. Right now, my CPS3 system is bolted to a board I had cut to those dimensions yesterday, but the board is connected to nothing.

Hmm, those pics are interesting. I wonder how many revisions the Astro design went through. I vastly prefer that mounting bracket to the one that I have.
The pictures in the original Astro City manual look like yours, but my mounting bracket has a lip on the top and bottom, and extends all the way to the back of the cab.
It also doesn't seem to fit quite right, so I wonder if it was fabricated as a replacement by one of the cab's previous owners...

The mounting bracket pictured above is the same one I have in my regular Astro City. It definitely sounds like you have a substitute in yours. Where it came from is anybody's guess. Perhaps it belongs in a different type of cab?DaveOrAstroDave wrote:Hmm, those pics are interesting. I wonder how many revisions the Astro design went through. Highly possible. It's pretty annoying that it goes all the way back.. it makes running custom wiring and stuff a real pain. Also it's heavier, not that 5 lbs of steel make much of a difference in a 200 lb cab.Bean_Bandit wrote:The mounting bracket pictured above is the same one I have in my regular Astro City.
