Re: Paprium
Finally! Amazing to think this has been unplayable for almost 5 years.
I think I'll hold out until the rom itself is modified, really want my first run through to be on an actual Megadrive.

Re: Paprium
Is that on the cards? Would it just take an audio downgrade or is there more to the custom hardware?

Re: Paprium
That's a really good point.
I know the newer Everdrives support FPGA Mega CD compatability, wonder is that maybe a future option for those extra chips?

Re: Paprium
The audio has already been dumped, but because the "custom" chip (which is actually just a STM32 buried in epoxy) is protected using a level of security that is still somewhat difficult to crack, it can't currently be emulated.
It's possible someone can hack something up to play back the sound using the dumped audio on emulators or even flash carts with MSU support.

Re: Paprium
I imagine it could now be fairly easily bootlegged, right?
The ROM’s out there. The music files are out there.
I obviously wouldn’t have a clue, but the sorcery some people in this community come up with… seems inevitable.
I obviously don’t support piracy when a legit developer may/will be harmed, but the hilarious thing about this dump is that in every forum thread, Twitter post, YouTube video where there’s a link, the conversation goes like this:-
Mod: Please don’t link to warez
Poster: But Fonzie is a dick and this is a borderline scam
Mod: Good point. **** that guy. Links for all!!

That sorcery of some people in this community will definitely make sure it will be bootlegged at some point, it's definitely inevitable.
The fact that Fonzie still owes some people a game, 8 years after they paid their preorder is also enough to fuel it into happening - anger is a great motivator!
