Omega Fighter fan-repro-art

Post by cools »

The art for this game is (a) mega rare and (b) doesn't appear to have been properly scanned. I've been putting off placing the game in my Pony (mainly because it uses an oddball resolution, so once it's in it's staying there monitor adjusted for some time) because of a lack of matching art. So, using whatever images I was able to hunt down I took on the task of vectoring it all to an obsessive standard. I've fixed up various flaws from where it was originally hand drawn, and re-translated all the text with my own interpretation - maintaining the 80s Japan aesthetic of the originals.

Setup + postage on prints is the largest part of the cost of small runs, so I had a few sets made up and figured I'd offer them here at cost in case anyone else fancied a set.

Instruction cards are on 400gsm silk gloss, colour + black ink, A5 in size (matches various other game original Jpn art in size)
Instruction strip sticker is on die cut gloss 100micron vinyl, 32x6cm (matches the original size from what I can gather)
License sticker is on 70micron metallic silver vinyl 28x18mm (these should be trimmed to size with a craft knife, they have not been die cut to size - deliberately!)

There's also a 400gsm silk gloss instruction strip. The printers didn't cut these particularly central, but they're pretty nice anyway.

The whole lot looks stunning, I'm incredibly happy how they came out. They have between a dozen to sixteen hours work in :penser:

I have 4 three two sets spare to sell. £28 posted a set - 2 cards, 1 strip sticker, 1 strip card, 4x license stickers. I'll sneak some extra bits of game art in too depending on what I can dig out ;)

If there so happens to be another set, I'd love to buy one.

I also have the flyer, if scanning that for you could provide any value.
