Ah, there's a Bandai shop dedicated to them in Brighton atm. Pretty cool to see them popping up.

Re: Random YouTube videos
I must have completed this channel. Not sure which videos to share but the 90s tutorials are great.

Gamer Youtube is mad. Tens of thousands of views in a day for a video that tries to dramatise the story of a game store manager giving a customer a heads up that SEGA launched the Saturn early. He somehow manages to draw this out for 20 minutes with home video footage.

Re: Random YouTube videos
This is the only childhood photo I have that came close to showing a videogame. It was highly unusual for anyone to take photographs of them, let alone videos.
I watched one of My Retro Life's first videos a few years ago and I thought it was extremely cool to see nostalgic home movies of his dad giving him every videogame, even if it was pretty weird.
I thought that was a one-off but **** me he's made a career out of it! 200 uploads now. Good old Dad still spoiling him from beyond the grave.

I must admit, my resentment may have something to do with the fact that he was spoilt as ****.

Okay feel better now thought I was the only one that never had any picture getting or playing any video game or computer , never mind a parent getting a phone ,they would have told me or the pedo store manager to **** off !!
Jeez getting another game for the c64 or snes was a hard slog !!

Re: Random YouTube videos
Tell you what else is mad, the YouTube videos that make a whole drama over a long-winded internet search.
I don't know why but I was just watching an hour long video of someone tracking down a photo source:
I snapped out of it ten minutes in, the part of the story where he hit a paywall for an archive search. The struggle was edited with the sound of a boiling kettle and shaky screen effects.
Quite a lot of videos take this theme. My lad was watching some similar recently, one looking for an animated gif source and another about the backrooms. Can't really criticise, they're quite well done, I just can't believe they're a thing. When I fall in an internet rabbit hole I feel like an idiot on three hours sleep the next day and no one else would be the slightest bit interested. Whereas some people make content out of it and half a million people watch.
