As far as I’m aware it does. I don’t have a 4 slot to test but the connection is there for the 4 slot and there is a part in place where the numbers would usually light up. I’ve owned a real one of these in the past and apart from the coin mech it’s a pretty good clone. Maybe a tiny bit thinner metal used for the walls of the cab. It even has the same mechanism for lifting up the control panel.

Juding from photos online the coin insert area seems to be different from an original unit. Online photos all have them in chrome, but yours is red. Actually like the red more, fits the cab colour scheme better somehow.

I still wonder whether each seller customises such minute details or these all made by one big manufacturer and there is a bunch of resellers. Did you pay 1300 for your cab, or has the price changed since I was quoted I wonder.

Bit of a development from the seller. The contact person had the same name as another I had spoken to regarding the possibility of getting an Astro City with an original Nanao CRT inside.

In any regards, it seems they can actually provide me with a AC with an original Nanao CRT, they sent me a picture of it and it checked out. So, long story short, I'll be getting both the Neo SC-19 and a refurbed AC from them for an additional 2500 USD.

I decided to take the risk, if all goes well, not only will I get the SC-19, but also finally replace that Blast City with the much more aesthetically pleasing Astro City. I already have a buyer lined up for the Blast city too. Only problem is getting those damn cabs up the stairs.

Oh, well, that is a problem for future me to solve.

As you might see in the last picture the center piece has a small amount of orange peel effect. It’s almost like the middle part of the hood is sprayed and the sides are not. Like I say it’s not a huge deal to me as you don’t really see it. Mine came with a lcd installed that I didn’t know was coming with it. I got a video from them showing the machine working and thought they put it in there for testing. I know it’s not for purists but with it hooked up to the ossc it looks great even compared to the crt in the in the pony next to it.

Sorry I don’t know how to rotate the pictures :shifty:
Great looking set-up & not just the cabs, everything ! décor makes a games room too.

Thanks mate. Glad to see your still kicking around in the forums too
It’s only a rental so I can’t go too crazy. I just moved the whole room around to see if I could fit one more cab but it didn’t work out 😂
I see your rocking the newer cabs now.

Well the small cabs are no problem, and the astro comes apart in basically 2 big chunks and a monitor and is basically the easiest 29inch cab you could possibly have to move up stairs i think

My plan is to remove the monitor and carry first. That is most of the weight right there.

Finally got myself my daughter a Capcom Cute (the only way I was ever going to be allowed another cab in the house :shifty: )
I decided to go for one of the Vortex Arcade Cute cabs that were mentioned previously. The cab itself it's very nicely manufactured, and the monitor is lovely.
The front artwork is a little off on colour but there looks to be repro art available to replace if wanted. They also added a lovely 1P control panel.
Overall I am really pleased with it :awe:
Time to start tinkering as I have some original art/pop and a Q-Sound amp that I plan to install. It comes with a CPS1 kick harness integrated, but I may well change that for a universal AMP in order to quick swap for other types.

I wonder if Vortex sources their own CRTs. Does it have a Chinese chassis I wonder.

I’m not sure where the tubes come from, but from what I understand the whole batch they got were all “18-inch screen new old stock”

Kamiboy wrote: June 10th, 2025, 1:48 pm Does it have a Chinese chassis I wonder.
I believe the chassis’ were custom - “An electronic factory prints the chassis' PCB”

PrincessPrinPrin mentioned that they are a “variation of a common Chinese chassis with the addition of a degauss circuit”

They did some other tweaks too, so it sees a good amount of work went into them for the cab in general to make them different from the others that are on Aliexpress.
