Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
Any info out there on these chassis? Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
I've got a couple that don't have working auto degauss, and external degaussing is not working how I'd like so I either want to see if a manual switch can be added or the auto degauss fixed.
Possibly a cap kit too.

Re: Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
you are running on 230v?
you can prove ptc is functioning by attaching a 230v 40w lightbulb to the deguass header, it should light up bright for a few seconds and then start to dim

Thanks. Well that proves the PTC is okay, takes a good fifteen minutes to cool down before a power on will fire up the circuit again.
Suppose I should check the coil has continuity.

Let me know if there's anything I can test on mine.
Degauss is definitely working as I've rotated a few times and got lovely Purdy colours. Mines the same as yours, takes ages to charge up and fire again

Coil is fine, so degauss is working.
When the tube is facing perpendicular to the ground, it degausses cleanly.
When the tube is parallel to the ground, I can't shift some colour distortion that appears on the top half.

Re: Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
Sorted it.
When its perpendicular, it has to be degaussed manually with a sudden OFF rather than the usual swirling away from the screen.
The auto degauss has actually been causing the problem rather than fixing it, so I've disconnected the coil.

For manual degaussing you need to put a connector for a momentary switch at K14 and cut the jumper above it:

Excellent, is this the chassis that came with those monitors from Ireland? I had one turned up at work 2 years after it was posted but the tube was smashed.

Done, thank you! It works, and proves that it's the built in degauss that's been giving me problems all along when the tube is mounted face up.PrincessPrinPrin wrote: April 12th, 2025, 3:14 pm For manual degaussing you need to put a connector for a momentary switch at K14 and cut the jumper above it:
Yes. I had a smashed tube too but the seller sent another one through, which arrived intact.thegreathopper wrote: April 12th, 2025, 8:49 pm Excellent, is this the chassis that came with those monitors from Ireland? I had one turned up at work 2 years after it was posted but the tube was smashed.

Re: Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
Both chassis are working on one tube.
I've got another tube, Philips A41ECV40X01. Measured the yoke, both resistance and inductance match the LG Philips A41EAM40X01 I'm using.
This one only gives an extremely blurry picture no matter what I do with the focus. SCREEN needs to be set nearly at the lowest setting or the whole thing is just pure white.
Bad tube?

Re: Intervideo 22.0674.1 72059091
Fixed it. Was a short circuit in the neck. Bit of research on the symptoms turned up this: http://repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_tvfaq8.html
I set the tube face down, checked and noted continuity between all the neck pins. Then using my fingernail gave the neck a good flicking all around. Checked continuity again, and one of the joins was now gone.
Need to tweak up the image but happy to have it working!

Excellent work, I have a good one of these monitors from Ireland - so far mounted in a box but would be nice to
Get it in a cab if some sort.
