next step is to dummy load the flyback, desolder the b+ pin and put the lamp to that trace

Q36 still out, B+ removed from flyback and connected to GND with the 40W 230V bulb.

I tested with no signal, still have a clicking relay, and seemingly even less B+ voltage before it crashes.

Based on this, I am checking more transistors in the B+ selection circuits.

Holy crap.., Q12 is shorted base to emitter

I stole Q12 from my NOS Rodotron and put it in.

Fired it up: no clicking on no signal.

Connected my half dead Neo Geo anddddd:

I have now verified B+ is perfect on all 3 resolutions using my GroovyMAME PC.

Final repair log attached as pdf. This was quite the hunt.
